Figure2.2(a):Example of Otis Cleaner #2 Container

3. Rail Cleaning Procedure Prior to the rail installation, the following steps shall be followed when cleaning the elevator guide rails oriented in a horizontal position. General Notes: Inspection of Rails Prior to Cleaning: Prior to cleaning the rails, a visual inspection of the blade and fish plate mounting surface shall be made for signs of burrs or gouges. If defects are found, then an emery cloth or small hand file should be used to remove the surface defect. Application of these deburring devices must be limit to the proximity of the defect. General Cleaning Material Disposal: If used rags saturated with Otis Cleaner #2 do not contain any free liquid (i.e. liquid dripping off the rag when held up) it may be disposed of by referring appendix A. If the rag does have free liquid, wring it out into the shallow bucket or tray designated for disposal of dirty cleaning solvent. Once the free liquid is removed, the rag can be disposed of by refer appendix A. Rail Cleaning Procedure 1. Complete a written JHA and conduct a HazScan of the area where the rails will be cleaned to identify and mitigate any hazards. 2. Using a shallow bucket or tray dedicated for the application of Otis Cleaner #2 to a clean rag, soak a clean cotton rag with Otis Cleaner #2. A shallow bucket or tray shall be used to contain the Otis Cleaner #2. See Figure 2(a). Before application to the rail, squeeze the rag to remove any free liquid (liquid dripping from the rag).

3. Wipe the rag over the rail blade and flange for the entire length of the rail to soften the rust inhibitor. Once completed, the rag may be disposed of by referring appendix A. 4. Using a new clean cotton rag, soak it with Otis Cleaner #2. The shallow bucket or tray shall be used to contain the Otis Cleaner #2. Before application to the rail squeeze the rag to remove any free liquid. 5. Wrap both sides of the rail blade surfaces with the soaked rag, apply hand pressure squeezing the rail blade and wipe the rail in both directions over a one meter section of rail until it is visibly clean. See Figure 5(a). Note 5A: To ensure the cleanliness of the rail it is recommended that frequent rag changes be made during the cleaning process. After a pass over a one meter section of rail, a clean section of rag should be used during the cleaning process. It is acceptable to turn the rag over and wipe the section again using a clean section of the rag. Depending on the level of rust inhibitor on the rail surface it may be necessary to replace the rag with a new clean rag after just a few passes. The new clean rag is to be prepared per step 4 to sufficiently clean the rail. Note 5B: In cases where there is a heavy deposit of rust inhibitor or foreign matter present on the rail, it may be necessary to use a steel hand scrapper to remove these localized deposits. See Figures 5(b), 5(c) and 5(d). Figure 5(a) Wrap Rail to Clean Blade Figure 5(b) Heavy Rust Inhibitor Application Figure 5(c) Foreign Matter on Rail Figure5(a):Wrap Rail to Clean Blade

Due to labyrinth structure between landing door panels, Side of door panel will extrude over centerline for 12.5mm. So when door system opened, it will be not aligned between panel and frame, and it is still in the limitation of GB7588-7.3.2 and En81-1.7.3.2 requirement. We can get the alignment appearance through a simple adjustment of door operator in field site.
