Make sure all safety precautions are made prior to lifting, to a avoid personal injuries and damage on equipment. NOTICE! Before installing the transom shield and engine, make sure that the rest of the installation work in the engine compartment has been completed. In addition, all cables and hoses must be correctly and clamped.

Engine mount position
The hydraulic pump unit shall be mounted horizontally with rubber mounts. The mounting position of the pump unit shall be at the engine bed height or higher

Make sure that top of the steering pump is easily accessible from above (emergency steering). This is only valid for single installation.

Marking of holes: 6 mm (1/4”)
Tightening torque: 80 Nm (59 lbf.ft)

Bellow position
Install the gear shift cables.
Tightening torque, hose clamps: 5.5 Nm (4.1 lbf.ft) Tightening torque, hose clamps: 8.5 Nm (6.3 lbf.ft)

Install seawater inlet hose to engine Tightening torque: 5.5 Nm (4.1 lbf.ft)
Follow mounting instructions included in riser/elbow kit. The riser/elbow should be rotated to point into the exhaust pipe. The bellow is pre-mounted to fit the riser installation. If using an elbow, rotate the bellow 180°

Grease on threads, locking plates and underside of bolt heads!
Seawater intake. Double hose clamps! Installed 180 degree apart.
NOTICE! When the engine bed feet become loaded, they drop to normal height within 24 hours.

How to adjust the angle (Ƴ) is described in manual 47704210 (the Ƴ value must be within 103 ±1°)
Special tool part no: 22964052 (lasertool)

Tightening torque: 35 Nm (25 lbf.ft) Pull out the cable harness, connect on the outside and put back. Note! There must be some slack on the cables when fastening them on the inside wall. The slack is needed when dismatle the unit!
Tightening torque: 40 Nm (30 lbf.ft)
NOTICE! Entire footprint of the engine feet shall be on the engine bed.

Threaded hole dimensions Thread: M12 drill: 10 mm Thread: 1/2” drill: 27/64”
Make sure the bending radius is >60 mm (2.4”) at hydraulic hoses.
Do not use vaselin or grease when installing the exhaust pipe!
Install the engine
Drill the threaded hole for the engine feet
Use special tool part no. 21679632

Cut the transom shield hole
Use rubber lubricant Penta part: 3817243. Do not use vaselin or grease!

Check and Adjust the engine feet The procedure correspond to 300 Nm.

A = Max 20mm.
Tightening bolts: 1. 120 Nm (88.5 lbf.ft) 2. + 30°

Check: Equal loading on mounts. Check on three points using setting tool 21244540.

Recommended size is M12 bolt
NOTICE! Unequal loading can cause engine vibrations. V
If engine is moved after alignment, the alignment must be controlled again.
Nominal height: 116 mm (4.6”) H = Adjustment, height: ±8 mm (±0.3”) V = Lateral adjustment: ±7 mm (±0.3”)
