This document contains information on commissioning of the elevator controls Miconic TX-GC and Miconic 10-GC. As the hardware platform is identical for both control types, 'control' as generic term for both will be used throughout this document. If a special feature applies only to Miconic TX-GC or to Miconic 10-GC, this is indicated explicitly. An overview of the overall commissioning procedure together with Variodyn VF...BR/PF1 drives can be found in document K 604010.

Prerequisites
Summary
This section points out some general points to remember about commissioning. This commissioning instruction gives you concise directions for commissioning and is designed to assist you in your work. Execute the steps in the predefined sequence, and do not go to the next step until the work detailed in the previous step has been successfully completed. If anything does not work according to the procedure, first find out the reason and solve the problem.
Overall Commissioning
Control commissioning must always be seen in the framework of commissioning the entire elevator system, as the control interacts with many of the systems components. An overview of the overall commissioning procedure for the whole elevator system and document references to other parts of system commissioning, is available in a separate document: K 604010: Overall Commissioning Miconic TX-GC / 10-GC with VF...BR/PF1.
Safety Rules
Be sure not to work on live devices! Only if you switch off JH, JHG, and JHL, you can be sure that there are no live parts in the cabinet or on and in the car. Even then, there is still the voltage from the NSG Battery (12 VDC) which is used as emergency power supply! For your own safety, check always the schematics! To avoid problems with plugs: z Pull always only the connector and not the wiring or cable. z Turn off related power supply before you plug or unplug connectors.
Node Dead Behavior
In case of a LON node breakdown or if LON communication becomes faulty, the elevator system always has to go into a save state. When the control looses connection to a LON node which holds special input signals (e.g. inputs for Fire Emergency, Earthquake, Emergency Power), the corresponding services will be activated automatically. This functionality is available only in software version 1.45 or higher. This 'Node Dead Behavior' can be suppressed using the SMLCD command 'Service Visit -> ON'. Remember this before working on an installation in order to prevent the whole elevator group from becoming unavailable. For a new installation, the factory default setting of 'Service Visit' is ON!
Special Tools
The following special tools are used for commissioning the control: Tool Multimeter with z sensitivity greater than 25 kΩ / V z and measuring range greater than 500 VDC z measurement of true RMS (root mean square) z diode test z continuity test. Test leads must have insulated probe tips.
Used for Measurement of all supply voltages in the control before connecting the appropriate plugs. True RMS required for correct measurement of safety circuit supply (only for version 88 VDCRMS pulsed, min. 64 VDC, max. 120 VDC)
