3.2

Safety Circuit When making control signal voltage measurements (X1) use terminal EXT GND on the door electronic assembly as the reference. This terminal must be connected to the elevator control signal ground.

- The door contacts are prewired to a Molex plug. - Plug type Molex (3191) 19-09-2068, earth pin 02-09-8103, pin 02-09-2116 - Safety contact ratings: Min. 5VDC - Max. 250VAC 2A.

- After finding the reference switch the door drive will start with the next OPEN command in direction open as long as the mechanical end is found. This movement will also be partly in slow speed.

D2/1-D2/2 D2/5 PE

3.3

- If the door is not at the reference switch (near by Close End) in power up and CLOSE is active (connected with GND EXT) it will move at low speed as long as the reference (Close End) position is found.

- Then the door will drive normally in both directions.

Driving the doors with the elevator controller

- Connect the signals from the elevator controller to connector X1 of the door operator.

- Check that the safety devices (Open Button, PhotoCells and close force limiter) reopen the door (see DIP switch description).

- Refer to the project delivery documents for the wiring diagram between the elevator controller and door operator. (see also connection diagram in chapter 9).

- As reopening is controlled by the control panel the elevator must be in normal mode.

-

3.4

Do NOT connect +24V or GND from the door operator (X15, X16) to the +24V EXT or GND EXT supplied from elevator controller (X1).

- Door operator ground GND (X15, X16) is internally connected to protective earth. - Check if Service Drive input (LED SERV DRIVE at X1 must not lit).

is

Driving the doors with the service drive buttons

- The Test Drive Buttons only work when the Service Drive input (SERV DRIVE at X1) is active (H6 lits). The door is in Service Mode if the Elevator is in Service Mode and the signal is terminated to SERV DRIVE at X1.

OFF - Check that the door is moving open and close when the test drive buttons are pressed.

4

Start-up of a non preadjusted door

- The closing force is set to approx. 135N motor force in a spare electronic. This is always less than the max. allowed force (according EN81, CSA, ...), because of gear loses, friction...

- Now the learning of door width is done during 8 consecutive full door width movement cycles.

4.3 - There is basically no adjustment necessary to start up the spare electronic. - DIP switch setting should be copied from the replaced board.

Adjusting the close force A adjustment of too high closing force may cause serious injury to passengers. The max. allowed force can be found in the code valid for your country (EN81: max. 150N)

- Mount the reference switch to the same position like on replaced box (always near close end).

- Open and close the door manually and check that there are no mechanical obstructions.

4.1

- The Test Buttons only function when the Service Drive input (SERV DRIVE at X1) is active

Preparation

- Disconnect the line in plug D1 before making any electrical connections. - Disconnect all cables from the electronic. - Remove the drive electronic physically and place the new drive electronic. - Make all the connections for the new drive electronic. End up with the line in plug D1.

The Closing Force will increase by turning the potentiometer clockwise!

4.2

Drive the door with the close button (or close command) to the close direction and adjust the closing force.

Start up of spare electronics

- Switch power on. - Now the door must be driven in close direction by Test Drive Button (Note: Service Drive input SERV DRIVE must be active). - If the door moves in the wrong direction the drive electronic detects a fault and stops the door movement immediately - the red STATE LED is flashing twice. You have to exchange the two motor wires on connector X4.

The adjustment must be done by use of a force measuring device. - Put a force measuring device between the closing door panels (centre opening) or between door panel and slam post (side opening) Do not attempt to measure the force of a moving door, stop it first!

4.4

Adjustment of the speed

- The drive electronic offer to select one out of four different speed levels (for handicap elevators or other purpose). - Look at DIP-SWITCH description (chapter 7).

For centre opening the measuring device will show half of the actual close force. For side opening the measuring device will show the actual close force. - The close command should be applied for less than 10sec periods, than remove the close command for a short time, before continue the adjustment procedure. After adjusting the close force drive door to fully closed position (coupler open). After that check close force adjustment again.

Troubleshooting

8.1

The door does not move

8.1.1

The door does not move at all

Check that the power is ON. POWER LED must be lit if line in (D1) is connected and the circuit breaker in the elevator control panel is ON. Check WATCHDOG LED. Switch OFF/ON or replace board in case it lit’s or flashes.

8.1.3

The door does not close

Check that the CLOSE command LED H1 lit’s (17/X1 is low). The closing force may be too low (or friction too high). Turn CLOSE FORCE potentiometer slightly clockwise to increase the force (but pay attention to the max. allowed closing force).

Check that the motor wires are connected (plug X4). Check that lift control interface X1 is powered by +24V EXT, LED +24V EXT must lit. Check that the control panel is giving an Open or Close command (16-17/X1; LED H1, H2). Check LED STATE - if it flashes then an error is present -> see Error Table section 8.5

8.1.2

The door does not open

8.1.4

The door only partly opens or closes

Check that the open and close signal times (LEDs H1, H2) from the elevator controller are long enough. If the door moves in the wrong direction the drive electronic detects a fault and stops the door movement immediately - the red STATE LED is flashing twice and a reset is done - LED WATCHDOG flashes. You have to exchange the two motor wires on connector X4.

Check that the OPEN command LED H2 is lit when an open command is present (16/X1 low). Check that the CLOSE command LED H1 is not active (17/X1 not low). A close command overrides an open command. Check that the landing door lock is not jammed.

Car Door Operator AMD - Drive 1 Operating instructions

8.2

The door does not reopen

- To reopen the door the elevator controller must receive either a reopen request signal from the door electronics (REOP) or from an independently wired safety device (e.g. Photocell or Curtain of Light). - For reopening to occur the elevator controller must remove the close command and activate the open command.

8.4

Faults decreasing performance of door

- Motor and/or power stage temperature too high. The software reduces the power of the motor (power stage). If temperature is nevertheless exceeding a higher limit, power stage is shut down for cooling down a certain time. - Faulty reference switch, always closed or opened.

Check the following reopening devices - Open Button (if wired to terminal 14/X1) - Photocell (if wired to terminal 44/X15) - Closing Force Limiter (reopen request output)

8.3

Faults causing reset or shut down of electronic

- Short circuit current is flowing in the power stage unit - Encoder short circuit, open connections and/or missing signals - µController or program fault. - Low voltage protection (
