INTRODUCTION

1.1

Description KCE printed circuit boards form the core of KONE elevator control system. KCE consists of 14 different printed circuit boards. Additionally 10 different LCE-boards can be reused in parallell with KCE-boards if needed. Some of the boards have variations in both software and hardware level. The variations are described in board relevant sections.

1.2

Range of use KCE printed circuit boards are targeted to be used in all KONE KCE solutions and as wide range as possible, regradless the rise type and elevator manufacturer.

2.3.1

Purpose of use The KCEKMI (KONE Maintenance Interface) is an interface board for maintenace personnel. It is located in MAP or control panel. It is used for comissioning, testing and fault finding purposes. KCEKMI is a part of KCEMSC board. KCEKMI is mounted on top of the KCEMSC board by D25 connector. Alternatively it is possible to connect KCEKMI to KCEMSC with a separate 4 meter cable.

2.4.1

Purpose of use KCECCG board connects all the electrical devices of the car to KCECPU and KCEMSC. It acts as cross connection board and is located on elevator car roof. KCECCG interacts with car safety inputs, door control and general cross connections for wiring and signalization, among others. It also charges the emergency battery. An additonal KCECCG board can be used, if there is a 3-door system or double-decker elevator.

Notes LED ON = Main power is on LED OFF = Main power is missing LED Blinking = Main power is missing, battery is being used as main supply. LED ON = Battery voltage too low (below 10.5 V), or battery is missing, or battery fuse is blown. LED OFF = Battery is ok. LED ON = Alarm is active and served LED OFF = No alarms (or no configuration in the board) LED Blinking =

– 0.5 sec on / 0.5 sec off: Alarm is registered but not served – 0.3 sec on / 0.3 sec off: No configuration or wrong configuration – 2.0 sec on / 2.0 sec off: No configuration or wrong configuration – 2.0 sec on / 1.0 sec off: Configuration downloaded LD4 / Call

LED ON = Telephone line is off hook LED OFF = Telephone line is on hook LED ON = Telephone line is missing LED OFF = Telephone line is ok LED ON = LON communication failure LED OFF = LON ok. (or no configuration in the board) LED Blinking =

– 0.3 sec on / 0.3 sec off: Equipment RS link failure – Blinking with same frequency as LD3 --> a non-configured analyzer is connected to board LD7 / ICT

LED ON = Internal error in the board. Replacement of the board is recommended. Note that LED is on after power up, until the program initialisation is done. LED OFF = The board is ok. LD10 / LON CPU reset Green LED Blinking = Host CPU does not communicate with LON CPU on the board. The KRMRIF board has internal failure or no software. LED OFF = LON and CPU communication is ok. LON CPU reset is controlled by the LON-controller or the host CPU

PELV OF KCE PELV (Protected Extra Low Voltage) is used in KCE to reduce hazards related to electric shock. Voltage in PELV system is limited to 50 Vac or 120 Vdc. The system is isolated (optical or transforming isolation) from high voltage systems and it is not allowed to have electrical contacts to non-PELV systems except earth (PE).
