AMD drive1 electric board

Supervision LEDs LED H80 H20

Name

LED illuminates/colour

5V power Watch dog

Board is powered (5V). Microprosessor defect. LED is blinking or illuminating / red.

H40

State

H10

Reference switch

During commissioning and self-learning led is off. Blinking or illuminating, if a fault is detected (see error code table). Door at the panels closed position and Reference switch is active / green.

AMD drive1 ERROR TABLE (STATE LED flash code) Door performs following LED flashes Fault Action

Correction possibility, solution

1 time

Encoder or Motor fault

RESET

Check wires and connectors, exchange motor unit

2 times

Wrong motor direction

RESET

Exchange red and black wire

3 times

Power stage too hot

STOP for cooling down

4 times

Motor too hot

STOP for cooling down

5 times

Reference switch error

SLOW MOVE

6 times

Motor temperature sensor broken

SLOW MOVE

Move door manually and check that door is running smooth and easily, wait until door restarts. Move door manually and check that door is running smooth and easily, wait until motor is cooled down and door restarts. Check that reference switch is adjusted right, switch and magnet has a distance of about 3mm and cover each other when door panel fully closed Check wires and connectors, exchange motor unit

If an error is present then STATE Led flashes an error code. It flashes in the following manner: LED error code (flashes)- delay (Led off) - LED error code (flashes) .....So you can read out the error code by counting the flashes between two longer dark phases of the LED

Trouble shooting Instruction for AMD drive 1 Effect / Symptom The door does not move at all

Failure description

Correction possibility, solution

Check power supply POWER LED must be lit if LINE IN is Power supply missing connected and the circuit breaker in the elevator control panel is LED does not light ON , change board State LED flashes

Count flashes between longer delay and see error code table in AM-03.35.022, page 9

Watchdog LED light or blinks

Switch door off/on and replace electronic if it still lights Low voltage protection activated, check supply voltage

Motor does not move

Check that door moves easily and belt is OK Check that the motor wires are connected to plug X4 Power stage short circuited, check wiring or change motor

Door cannot be moved by lift commands

Door cannot open

Door cannot close

External 24VDC supply for control interface missing, LED does not light Service drive input ON Open command missing Close command always ON Motor does not move to open Close command missing Open command always on Motor does not move to close

Check that lift control interface is powered by EXTERNAL 24V, LED +24V EXT (H200) must lit Door can be moved by test drive button only, deactivate SD input Check that the control panel is giving an Open command (X1/16) LED H2 Check that close command is not active Check that door moves easily Check that the control panel is giving an Close command (X1/17) LED H1 Check reopen output and position of Dip switch S1/1, if NC contact is not closed replace unit Check that door moves easily The closing force may be too low (or friction too high). Turn CLOSE FORCE potentiometer slightly clockwise to increase the force.

Door only partly opens or closes

Commands open and close too short

Check that the open and close signal times (Led H1, H2) from the elevator controller are long enough.

Door starts and stops after few cm running

Door moves in the wrong direction the drive electronic detects a fault and stops the door movement immediately - the red STATE LED is flashing twice and a reset is done - LED WATCHDOG flashes. Exchange the two motor wires on connector X4. Encoder supervision activated, change motor

Door does not reopen

open command missing

Reopen request signal missing Doors running slowly © 2009 KONE Corporation All rights reserved.

The door is reopened by lift controller only. To reopen the door the elevator controller must receive either a REOPEN REQUEST signal from the door electronics or from an independently wired safety device (e.g. Photocell or COL...), remove close command and set open command Check DIP switch position S2/1, should be on when Reopen Request output switches to GND. Check the adjustment of close force limiter, reopen output must active if close force limiter is active. - The lock mechanically jamming (snatching) on open - The reference switch not close enough - Debris in the back of the door tracks - Bad alignment of the lock rollers in the skate (coupler) 2 (3)

OTHER POINTS TO BE CHECKED:

reference switch -

wiring of reference switch terminals reference switch wire must be in good condition ensure reference switch correct operation by checking LED H10 when door close

AMD railing1 / railing2

mechanical installation

(min8) 12

(min8) 12

-

test door operation on another floor; if problem occurs only at one floor it is not board failure

-

rollers must be securely fastened and should run smoothly, aligned with guide rail anti-tip rollers must slightly touch the rail, finger tight (pu-roller A, railing1). anti-tip rollers (metal roller B, railing2) should have 0.15 mm clearance to the rail.

25

17.5

AMD slim

mechanical installation

-

function of door safety devices (curtain of light / photo cess)

coupling system; lock rollers are in middle between coupler vanes engagement of coupler vane lock rollers

-

ensure correct operation of curtain of light / photo cell Î re-open door when ray are interrupted ensure that those device are not confusing AMD board operation by disconnecting door safety device temporarily
