Navigating Radiography Preparation

The Arrival of a New "One-Touch Guide" EZy-Rad Pro, an X-ray radiography system that combines compact dimensions to allow installation in tight spaces and makes imaging possible with simple operations, has arrived. Its innovative "one-touch guide" informs the operator of the proper exposure distance and cassette size in addition to the X-ray conditions, and thereby facilitates stress-free preparation. It offers superior image quality and ease of use that meets the demands of medical facilities. This is Shimadzu's new standard for diagnostic X-ray imaging systems.

Optimum setting of the exposure conditions like the exposure distance, cassette size, and grid requirements in accordance with the region to be examined is extremely difficult and requires experience. With EZyRad Pro, the wisdom of experienced operators is incorporated in the console. The pre-programmed exposure conditions are displayed on the console for each region, enabling stress-free preparation even for unfamiliar regions. The Communication option enables automatic linking with the radiography program selected for CR (optional).

The table surface is covered with a soft synthetic leather mattress to alleviate the hard, cold feeling that is experienced with standard tables. Naturally, it has antibacterial specifications. The heavy-duty wooden table top is selectable as well.

432 Easy-to-Set Anatomical Programs The ultra compact console is an example of Shimadzu’s leading-edge technology. It is designed to save space while enhancing operator-friendly interface. A standard feature is the productivity-boosting 432 anatomical programs. Entering and changing exposure parameters in these programs is straight-forward and easy. Additionally, automatic exposure control (AEC) and phototimer sensitivity selection are available as optional features.

Easy positioning via linked mechanism

Clear images provide high-quality diagnosis

The linkage of X-ray tube and cassette unit ensure the cassette tray is always centered on the X-ray beam center. This means no time-consuming focus-point positioning, and provides accurate, worryfree radiography. This linkage can also be easily released, allowing oblique radiography.

A design based on a 60kHz high-frequency, inverter, X-ray highvoltage generator and a 140kHU high-capacity X-ray tube unit allows high-current short-time radiography. This produces sharp images, regardless of patient movement.

Note: The cassette tray cannot move in the transverse axis direction.

The exposure distance is measured with an ultrasonic distance meter attached to front of the collimator.

Accommodating a variety of locations, the EZy-Rad Pro AH-Pack and MH-Pack can be operated using only 1.5kVA power source. Neither special power contracts nor expensive transformer is needed.

With the generator tucked under the examination table and no requirement for wall or ceiling supports, the EZy-Rad Pro requires a floor area of only 2.7m × 1.8m as the minimum space.

Wide transverse coverage for orthopedic radiography (M-Pack and MH-Pack only) Smoothly perform radiography of arm and leg joints, thanks to an X-ray tube arm design that allows easy forward and backward positioning. X-ray focus points can be set near the patient, when hand or elbow joint radiography is performed from the front of the table, allowing the patient to enjoy a relaxed, natural posture. Easy positioning allows leg and foot joint radiography to be performed without requiring the patient to turn left or right.

The dose is calculated before exposure from the set conditions and exposure distance and is displayed in real time.

In response to the everincreasing demand for lower doses, we have prepared a function that calculates and displays the predicted X-ray dose before exposure based on NDD method (optional). Combining the reference skin dose indicator and Communication option makes it possible to notify the CR side of the actual exposure conditions and dose calculated after exposure.
