VN2-24E Medium-voltage Embedded Vacuum Circuit-breaker
Advanced techniques and capabilities The circuit-breaker VN2-24E is the newest equipment in the voltage class of 24kV manufactured by CooperNature Electric (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. It is universal used in power distributing and transforming systems of power stations, power generators, and secondary substations of mines, industries and infrastructures. The circuit-breaker VN2-24E has complete type specifications: the rated voltage is 24kV, the rated current is up to 3150A and the rated short circuit breaking current is up to 31.5kA. The circuit-breaker VN2-24E is equipped with modularized spring operating mechanism which has characteristic of more convenient maintenance, rapider replacing of parts and more reliable performance.

The circuit-breaker VN2-24E adopts embedded poles that the low resistance vacuum interrupter and the primary main electrical circuit are cast in insulating cylinders by epoxy resin. This structure make the breaker have more reliable insulation. The embedded poles of circuit-breaker VN2-24E have the technique of ventilation and convection. Besides the vacuum interrupter is with low resistance. All of that reduce the power consumption and the temperature rising due to the longtime running of circuit-breaker.

The circuit-breaker VN2-24E can be used in 12kV power grid and plateau regions with altitude up to 4500m. Its power frequency withstand voltage is up to 65kV and the lightning impulse withstand voltage is up to 125kV. The driving mechanisms of circuit-breaker VN2-24E are designed by professionals in CooperNature and with characteristic of reliable closing performance, low impact force and longer lifetime. The mechanical lifetime can be up to 20000 cycles.

All of the mechanism’s surface of circuit-breaker VN2-24E is disposed with special process and lubricative technique. Not only the rust-resistance capability is improved but also the operating performance is ensured. The circuit-breaker is also applicable to humid and hot regions. Jigs and fixtures designed by self According to the need for producing process, there are lots of jigs and fixtures specially used to assemble circuit-breakers and designed by workers or professionals on the basis of their experience. 500 cycles mechanical test before out of factory There are about ten testing cubicles for mechanical test. For each circuit-breaker prepared to be out of factory, 500 cycles mechanical test must be done and the running status of circuit-breaker can be observed and noted by the testing cubicles. Complete performance testing facilities There are some imported performance testing facilities for each circuit-breaker, both capabilities and parameters. Before circuitbreaker is delivered to customer, it must be checked and tested through the standard testing panel, which avoid the problem during circuit-breaker being equipped with switchgear and also ensure the product’s generalization and interchange. Innovative product design Damper with perfect performance Thanks to the refined damper with perfect performance and the new cam gear with curvilinear design, the contacts rebounding value during the breaker opening is reduced more and the breaker can be opened reliably. Besides, the bellows in vacuum interrupter are avoided to be broken down due to contacts over bounding and also the mechanical lifetime of operating mechanism is ensured.
Special design of repair without many tools During the design for VN2 circuit-breaker, the installation and repair must be taken into account. So for the disassembly of parts or accessories, users need no special tools and the repair becomes more convenient. Besides, all of the secondary controlling components are in front of the operating mechanism, which also make maintenance and repair convenient.
Damper with Perfect Performance
Modularized operating mechanism Modularized operating mechanism is another feature of VN2. It can be divided into closing module, opening module, main-axis module and secondary wiring module, which make the mechanism have characteristic of standard manufacture method, short producing period, convenient maintenance and rapid replacing. These modules are standard and applicable to all VN2 so the costs of facilities management and maintenance are reduced.

Self- lubricative bearing without oil Self-lubricative bearing without oil used for VN2 circuit-breaker is very applicable to over-load and low-speed conditions and avoids the lost-lubricative phenomena due to oil-lubricative bearing out of work for a long time. Conductors with silvered surface All the conductors of VN2 circuit-breaker are disposed by silvered process so that it do not only reduce the contacting resistance but also improve the electricity-conducting capacity of conductors. Unique embedded poles Through advanced APG process the vacuum interrupter with small volume and low resistance and the main electrical circuit are cast in an insulating cylinder by epoxy resin. This structure makes the primary electrical circuit be isolated with the external environment. Comparing with assembled poles, the accessories, conductor joints and fasteners of embedded poles are reduced mostly. All of that do not only make the assembly simple, avoid the fasteners loose due to vibration during transportation and improve the product’s reliability, but also prevent the external surface of vacuum interrupter from external mechanical impact and environment such as dusts, humidity, corrosive or animals. Thanks to the epoxy resin, the poles center distance is reduced and accordingly the overall dimension of equipped switchgear is reduced.

The circuit-breaker VN2 adopts vacuum interrupter with small volume, low resistance and high vacuum degree. When its Rshaped contacts is breaking short-circuit current there occurs lengthways magnetic field that has characteristic of high breaking capability, small breaking current, low reburning probability and rapid insulated recovering. So the vacuum interrupter has long lifetime. Besides, thanks to the one-off sealing and exhausting process, the vacuum interrupter has advanced electric capability and mechanical capability. At the same time its vacuum degree and other technical parameters all precede national and international standards.
