About us

Isover Isover is a market leading manufacturer of high performing acoustic and thermal insulation solutions. Manufacturing in the UK since 1979, we have a long history of providing innovative, sustainable and reliable insulation products and solutions to enhance the performance of buildings and create great living spaces. Manufacturing Standards and Certifications We are committed to the safety, quality and sustainability of our products and manufacturing sites. Therefore we hold and maintain the following standards and certificates: • Safety To guarantee safety in use, our insulation products are EUCEB certified. This certifies the conformity of our products with Note Q of Regulation (EC) No: 1272/2008. • Quality and Management Systems Most of our insulation manufacturing plants are certified to the ISO 9001 Quality Management system.

• Environmental and Sustainability Most of our insulation manufacturing plants are certified to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System. Our Runcorn manufacturing plant is certified to BES 6001 for responsible sourcing. The vast majority of our structural insulation products manufactured at our Runcorn plant achieve the Eurofins ‘Gold’ standard for indoor air quality. • EPDs We have EPDs for key products including Climcover. • CE Marking Our HVAC product ranges are CE marked in accordance to EN 14303. Our thermal insulation products (and the vast majority of our acoustic insulation products) are CE marked in accordance with BS EN 13162 (Thermal insulation products for buildings. Factory made mineral wool (MW) products. Specification) and EN 13172 (Thermal insulating products. Evaluation of conformity).

HVAC solutions Insulation of pipework

Climpipe Section Alu2 Designed to provide thermal and acoustic insulation of pipework, it helps to meet thermal building regulations and offer energy savings. The consistent density and concentric positioning of the bore of Climpipe sections provide consistent thermal performance along the length of the pipe. Isover offers a range of pipe sections in a variety of thicknesses (20-60mm) and diameters from 15 to 273mm to accommodate a range of pipe diameters. Climpipe Sections are strong, lightweight pre-formed ‘snap on’ sections with a reinforced aluminium foil facing and a self-adhesive overlap to help ensure a strong vapour barrier. Manufactured in 1.2m lengths, these sections offer the opportunity for fewer joints than traditional 1m products, helping to reduce thermal bridging.

Characteristic Fire performance Service temperature Corrosiveness Environmental standards Quality standards Building standards

ODP/GWP Recycled content/ sustainability Handling and storage Certification External applications

Description • Euroclass A2L-s1, d0 fire rating when classified with EN 13501-1 • Class O compliance as defined in Building Regulations. • Compliant with London Underground fire safety performance requirements. Suitable for continuous service temperatures from 5°C to 500°C. The temperature on the aluminium facing should not exceed 80°C. When using the product below ambient conditions, care must be taken to ensure a 100% vapour barrier is maintained. Fulfils the demands in ASTM C795-08 (Standard Specification for Thermal Insulation for Use in Contact with Austenitic Stainless Steel) section 13 Manufactured under Environmental Management System - ISO 14001. Manufactured under Quality Management System - ISO 9001. Helps to meet thermal building regulations. England, Wales and Scotland BS 5422: 2009 or TIMSA Guidance for Achieving Compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations. For Scotland, also refer to Technical Handbooks; Domestic Handbook 2010 and Non-Domestic Handbook 2010 Sections 6 – Energy. Zero ODP (Ozone Depletion Potential); GWP < 5 (Global Warming Potential). Climpipe Section Alu2 is manufactured from up to 80% recycled glass. Isover products are supplied fully palletized. The pipe sections are boxed in cardboard cartons and should be stored in a dry environment. CE Marked according to EN 14303. Climpipe Section Alu2 is suitable for external applications when used with an appropriate weatherproof jacketing system.

Insulation of metal ductwork

All products within the Climcover range for ductwork insulation offer the properties shown below: Characteristic Thermal and acoustic performance.

Fire performance. Factory applied aluminium foil facing. High quality glass mineral wool.

Environmental Management System (EMS).

8

Description The Climcover range helps to meet thermal building regulations and offers significant energy savings by protecting the installation from external thermal variation. The range helps to reduce noise from ductwork, improving the comfort of those within the building. The Climcover Alu2 range has a Euroclass A2-s1, d0 reaction to fire classification (according to EN 13501-1). Inherent vapour barrier protects against moisture reaching the duct. •W ill not absorb moisture from the surrounding air and is chemically inert. • Performance will not deteriorate over time. • Mechanical properties - product will not sag or compress over time in normal applications if installed correctly. Isover products are manufactured under Environmental Management System (EMS) - ISO 14001.

NOTES: The insulation thicknesses shown are calculated specifically against the criteria noted in this table. The insulation thicknesses shown may not be sufficient to prevent condensation on low emissivity surfaces applied to insulated pipes located in 25°C, 80% relative humidity ambient air as described in BS 5422: 2009. Industrial large diameter pipes

U TECH Pipe Section Mat (PSM) U TECH PSM MT 7.0 G1 is the efficient solution to insulate industrial pipes with external diameters greater than 324mm. It provides excellent thermal insulation, reaching the highest levels of thermal performance at continuous temperatures of up to 620°C. The length and the V-Grooves of the U TECH PSM MT 7.0 G1 are adapted to the final diameter and thickness of pipe section insulation, leaving no thermal bridges once installed. A glass woven fabric facing helps strengthen the product both during and after installation and with its width of 625mm and weight of max 16kg, it can be easily installed by 1 person. Unlike traditional stone wool solutions where up to three pieces (three joints) are used for a single large diameter pipe, U TECH PSM MT 7.0 G1 is made from a continuous piece of insulation ensuring only one joint is needed for effective installation as shown on the right:
