1. SCOPE This standard specifies the tolerances for dimensions of metallic material products to be cut, when no symbol or numerical indication is given on drawings. 2. GRADES Dimensional and angular tolerances shall be classified into grades 1 and 2. 3. 4. REMARKS The general tolerances shall not be applicable to dimensions where either one of the two surfaces relating to specified dimensions is a non-cut surface (such as cast, forged, sheet-metal worked, rolled, drawn, extruded, tumbled, or sand-blasted surfaces). Reference: Examples of Tolerances for General Areas The application example of tolerances for general areas are shown below indicating various types of dimensions.
