INTRODUCTION

1.1

Project Context

Demo-01

Sao Vang and Dai Nguyet Development project face a challenge of mass piping production in a tight schedule. Examination of weld joint is required to be on time for further subsequence activities, such as painting, hydro test. Radiographic examination capacity is limited by as Inspection Time to be shared with another fabrication activities (Blasting, Painting, Hydro Test, Leak Test) A PAUT procedure was developed, as an alternative to RT, for sharing examination workload. Furthermore, NDT Supplier together with CONTRACTOR have performed demonstrations, under witness by all parties, to valid the procedure. The demonstration, has done with satisfaction from parties, be documented by this report. 1.2

Objective

Proving that PAUT procedure together with Personnel, Equipment have probability of detection, classification of Imperfection could be used for piping examination in the project. 1.3

Conclusion

All parties verified Equipment, Personnel and witnessed the demonstration and found satisfaction as combination of PAUT system have capability of detection and classification of all implanted defects. It is a note that after demo, the Technical Query No. 05-1_EPC-GE-PTC-Z-TQ-10019 was raised for capturing up a technical note.
