Algeria Oman Fertilizer Project is situated in Arzew, Oran in Algéria.

1. AOA Plant Sonatrach and Oman's Suhail Bahwan Group Holding had signed a partnership contract to build an ammonia/urea fertilizer complex in Arzew (Oran –Algeria). Located on the eastern extension of the petrochemical zone of Arzew to Mers El Hadjadj, the complex occupies an area of 75 hectares The complex will produce 4,000 MTPD of ammonia, almost all of which will be converted into urea. Plant’s Ammonia process is TOPSOE. AOA is using ammonia synthesis catalysts which are installed in more than half of the world's ammonia converters. The complex will also produce 3500 MTPD of Urea melt and granulation based on SNAMPROGETTI process. The installations of this complex, composed of four plants forming two production lines are completed are should start production early in 2015.

2. Arzew (city, logding and transportation) Arzew is a port city in Algeria, 25 miles (40 km) from Oran. It is the capital of Arzew District, Oran Province. Arzew is located in a safe area and benefits of a sweet climat. The plant is located outside the city, near the sea in a very secure place. Lodging will be in “guest house like” with single bedrooms at Arzew city. Transportation between Arzew and AOA plant is granted by AOA during working hours. Families are most welcome and lodging will be adapted accordingly. Nevertheless, there are no schools available for children around the place.

3. Safety Western Algeria has always been known as very safe Transportation safety : Expatriates will be transported between airport and life compound and between life compound and plant under security escort Accommodation safety : Expatriates will be accommodated in dedicated and closed life compound where proper security precautions are taken

4. Employment Corialis and its affiliate SEGICOR have been awarded a contract to provide AOA will all necessary skills to support commissioning and testing of the plant. Corialis (a company registered in France) benefits of a 12 years’ experience in providing talents and experts in many field of activities around the world. Its affiliate company SEGICOR located in Tunis (Tunisia) will own the payroll and will be in charge of operational issues as far as AOA employee’s management is concerned. SEGITEC, an affiliate company of SEGICOR, located in Oran (Algeria) will ensure full “on the ground” support to the experts employed by the company and will be their local interface. This organization has been put in place in order to facilitate the integration of local workers coming from all around the world. Permanent contact will be designated and its communication data’s given to employees for any support that employees may need during their assignation.
