Numbers for the USA have declined slightly Timo CB stated. Clients more younger people because of Facebook promotions etc. but also high-end clients (Fine Reisen). Timo will send us a proposal for the new FY. He further asked if CB could do a training in their headquarter in Hannover in Sep/Oct.
Updated NE program and increased product from CB Tour Mappers. 10 fly drives on homepage. Are using the content of our German Newsletter, CB sends out. Karin is still using some of the NE postcards (JMA) from 5 years ago. Their sales have the same volume as last year but it changed to Canada a lot. Her colleague Thomas attended the Summit and post fam this year and this is very helpful for selling our region. Dirk the Owner informed us the there will be a slight CB re-structure in their company. He will have more Sales Staff now. NE is doing good. 1,000 room nights in 2016. For 2017 7-8% below so far. He would like to increase the "highlights in NE" on their weibsite. Further he offered us participation in the ARGUSA North America Day in Fall.
They only offer NE as pre-and post program for CB cruises. The cruises have only Boston as stop in NE. Cruises are their bestsellers. In the past they offered a NE fall tour but not anymore. However, Melanie is thinking about adding a NE tour again

Feb and March have been months with very low CB/LH bookings for the USA but May picked up again. Therefore, they are quiet happy with their bookings. They would like to add more NE attractions to their portfolio. CANUSA is planning a fam trip to NE in Sep with Tour Mappers because they are their biggest client. Not only, will the Sales Staff profit from the fam but also Kolja and his colleague from the Marketing Department will escort the group and will film their trip to produce some video clips for their website afterwards. Therefore we discussed to add as many "trendy" attractions as possible (Helicopter Tours over the Newport Mansions, Yard Sailing, Kites, Tennis with a Pro, Cape Cod Biking, water activities, craft beer tours etc.) Mark Brodeur already talked to Tour Mappers. DNE should use this opportunity to support this fam to get the best out of it for the biggest tour operator for their region. CB FU
Pia took over the job from Nora. She informed us CB that USA figures are down by 3-8 % due to the exchange rate and the political situation. Canada numbers are up. Their clients are more couples 55+ and a few families. After our JMA she saw in increase in the NE requests. Would like CB to come to their office for a training.

New USA product since this year. Have 4 offices and CB 17 employees. Database Newsletter 15,000 addresses. Deliver 200,000 brochures yearly in their company group "Best of". 67% direct selling, 33% travel agencies. Rainer is well-known with the NE region and has attended several Summits for his former employes. This year he particpated in the Summit and post fam as well.

NE is doing ok but the USA in general is down CB because of the exchange rate etc. Jasmin attended the Summit and post fam this year and was very glad about it. The layout for the the brochure will be changed but the NE product will stay the same.

Since DER Touristik purchased Kuoni, Nadine is the CB new PM for this brand and Tino the Team Leader. They will produce a new catalogue with a new layout for Kuoni. More upscale, high-end than the other brands (Dertour, Meier's) Nadine is responsible for the USA product and will work together with Jasmin. The Marketing for Kuoni will still be made in Switzerland. Tino informed us that for the Kuoni brand features only 4* hotels and up in the new brochure. Clients will be more upscale. Flamingo is the owner of the very strong URL USAReisen.de and is a hybrid travel agency with own tour operating and a strong focus on travel to the US. They are in fact the largest single travel agency selling FTI, Dertour and Meier's North America product in Germany. Their Newsletter go to 60,000 subscribers and has an opening rate of 40%. They generate 25 - 50% of more turnover after sending out a destination newsletter. Further she would be interested in a inhouse training in their office in Berlin Julia is the new Marketing Manager and introduced CB us their different programms.
