System Approach and Serviceability Vetco Gray uses a system approach to wellhead technology that provides the full range of components needed for completing and producing wells in virtually any environment. Each component is designed to facilitate installation, maintenance, reconditioning and repair of all well site equipment, as well as minimize time, effort, and specialized tools. Our field service organization, consisting of highly trained specialists located in field offices throughout the world, provides around-the-clock service to the industry.

Verification Quality assurance and quality control are maintained for all Vetco Gray products throughout the manufacturing process. Additionally, all components and systems are tested to rigid product specifications and to required industry standards prior to shipment.

We have streamlined the network of facilities and distribution options that perform the functions of procurement of materials, transformation of these materials into intermediate and finished products, and the distribution of these finished products to customers. Four major strategic decision areas like location, production, inventory and distribution were clearly identified and action taken to make efficient and economic products for our Customers. Regional manufacturing facilities are integrated by network to meet the Customers' demands and requirements.

E-Commerce Vetco Gray started using Electronic Commerce (e-commerce) to streamline and simplify the business processes in order to gain competitive advantage. In the last couple of years, Vetco Gray has made considerable progress in the arena of e-commerce.

AIMS Asset Information Management System AIMS, Vetco Gray's Third Generation System is specifically designed for Managing Customer Assets. AIMS is a “cradle to grave” system that features tracking your equipment by serial number, and is available as a local or web-based tool. This allows for a complete history of utilization and repair of any major component tracked. In addition to serial number tracking, equipment can be tracked by part number, condition, bin location, well location, state, province, or country, offshore block, field name, block name, well name or well number. The primary objective of the AIMS program is to reduce our customers' costs.

WELS Worldwide Electronic Service Reporting Vetco Gray has identified the need for a more effective method of service reporting: WELS Worldwide Electronic Service Reporting. The concept design for WELS is based on client data requirements.

v Allows better visibility and control of our service reporting and repairs to identify areas of improvement in product design, product quality, reliability and material selection to comply with Six Sigma programs. v Reduce and/or eliminate field problems due to inadvertent reuse of poor design or materials due to lack of knowledge of the problems these designs and/or materials cause. v Predict with a high degree of confidence, the reliability of products and engineering changes based upon previous experiences backed by detailed information. v Quickly generate reports, plus have consistent data and format when accessing from anywhere around the world.

SIMON Supply Infomation Management On-Line This system allows buyers to electronically submit requests for quotations and purchase orders to suppliers. We allow the supplier to have controlled access to required information thus enabling us to collaborate with our suppliers over the Internet. Simon also consolidates all quote and purchase order information from all regions into one data warehouse, which can be leveraged by other applications. Additionally, the supplier receives e-mail notification if the part on his quote or purchase order is revised by Engineering. Surface Drilling and Completion Systems Wellhead Selection

Wellhead Selection Vetco Gray offers two types of wellhead systems based on the application requirements. They are the Commodity Wellhead and Conventional Wellhead systems. The Commodity Wellhead (commonly known as FC type system) is a cost efficient, field proven and elastomeric based system suitable for most applications. The Conventional Wellhead (commonly known as Complete Well Control system, CWC) provides greater system flexibility, is suitable for critical service and can be used in areas where the operating requirements exceed those provided by the Commodity Wellhead. In addition to the above two classifications, tapered wellheads are available to service low pressure and shallow well applications.

While the FC and CWC wellhead components are not interchangeable, entire section assemblies are. For instance, a CWC wellhead casing spool can be installed on an FC wellhead casing head.

To save drilling time, it is possible to supply the Conventional Wellhead system with a proprietary connector. The casing head bottom connection may incorporate a Slip-loc or a VG-loc connector to eliminate the time and cost associated with welding. The FC Wellhead utilizes four different styles of slip casing hangers. The FC-21 (Group I), FC-22 (Group III), FC-22M (for use above mudline) and FC-29 (high capacity). The CWC wellhead utilizes two styles of slip casing hangers, the W and the WE. Both of these are Group-III. The WE casing hangers are specifically for use above mudline. Reference the Slip Hanger Selection Criteria to determine which hanger is suitable for your needs.

Commodity Wellhead products are made specifically to cover all standard technical requirements at low cost. Vetco Gray's overall product strategy for commodity wellhead products includes a reduction in the variety of models marketed to eliminate confusion. The interchangeability of this product line allows Vetco Gray to continue to supply wellhead equipment to customers that may have used products from other vendors/manufacturers. This line offers connections for onshore/offshore service in low and high pressures. All Vetco Gray surface systems are manufactured to API Specification 6A, latest edition.

FC-22 Casing Head FC-22 casing heads have a straight bore bowl design which avoids damage to sealing areas by drilling tools and prevents test plug and bowl protector wedging problems when pressure is applied. This straight bore design also reduces maintenance costs and allows suspension of heavy casing loads. FC-22 casing heads provide interchangeability of casing hangers FC-21 and FC-22. If a bowl protector were required during the drilling process, using an FC-22-BP casing head including lock down screws in the upper flange would be recommended. Bottom connections can be furnished threaded or slip-on for welding.

FC-29 casing heads are based on the same reliable design as the FC-22 with exception that the bowl is longer, which permits the acceptance of the minimum deflection FC-29 casing hanger with larger load capacity for deeper drilling.

FC-22 Casing Spool The FC-22 casing spools are a straight bore bowl design. Bottom preparation can be the "OO" secondary seal type, as in the picture (FC-22-OO) or the bit guide preparation type (FC-22-BG). The BG preparation allows the use of reducer bushings "4-O" and "PE" (Pressure Energized). FC-22 casing spools provide interchangeability of casing hangers FC-22 and FC-21. If a bowl protector is required during the drilling process, using an FC-22-BP casing spool, including lock down screws in the upper flange would be recommended. Alternatively, a hold down flange with lock screws can be used.

FC-21 Casing Hanger (Group I) Slips and slip bowl are all combined in the FC21 wrap-around Casing Hanger. With the type H Packoff, this hanger is classified as a Group I (API) type hanger, and provides a positive annulus packoff after the casing pipe has been suspended and cut off.

FC-29 Casing Hanger (Group III) FC-29 wrap-around casing hanger provides minimum casing deflection and a hanging capacity that surpasses the capacity of the FC-21 and FC-22 casing hangers. When the upper slips move down and energize the packoff, the un-tapered lower slips engage automatically and apply controlled compression around the pipe. The lower slips do not move down, thus they do not create a high compressive force, as do conventional tapered slips. The FC-29 hanger is classified as a Group III API type hanger.

FC reducer bushings are available for all internal and external diameter sizes used in casing head spools and tubing head spools. The "OO" reducer bushing is to be installed in casing or tubing head spools with integral "OO" lower internal connection. The "4-O" reducer bushing is to be installed in casing or tubing head spools with the "BG" lower internal connection. These bushings are available for applications up to 5000 psi working pressure. Reducer bushings are designed with a reduced internal diameter to serve as an integral bit guide.

FPE Reducer Bushing For 10,000 psi applications, the FPE reducer bushing can be installed in casing head spools FC-22 and FC-29 prepared with "BG" lower internal preparation, as well as in FTC tubing head spools. The FHPE reducer bushing has a similar functioning of the FPE but it is designed for 15,000 psi. W.P. Reducer bushings are designed with a reduced internal diameter to serve as an integral bit guide.

FTCM Single Tubing Head FTCM Tubing Heads are a straight bore bowl design which avoids damage to sealing areas by drilling tools, and prevents wedging of the tubing hangers, bowl protectors and test plugs. The secondary seal for the last casing pipe can be an integrated "OO" seal type (FTCM-OO) as in the picture or the plastic injection type (FTCM-Pl), but also accepts reducer bushings "OO", "4-O", and FPE sizes. The upper flange is supplied with lockdown screws for packoff re-nergization and tubing hanger retention. Side outlets are LP or studded type prepared with internal threads to install a valve removal plug when desired. The lower flange includes a grease fitting and orifice for testing of the secondary seal.

FTC-60 Tubing Head The FTC Tubing Heads for multiple completions offer the same features as the FTCM, with the addition of an Aligning Pin to be used as a guide and for orientation of the multiple completion Tubing Hangers. FTC-60-BG Tubing Heads are designed with a maximum straight bore on single and multiple completions, thus allowing access to 7-5/8" casing through a 7-1/16" upper flange, eliminating the necessity of changing the flange to larger size when the well condition requires the casing diameter as mentioned. FTC-60 Tubing Heads are manufactured with forged steel and include two retractable heavy-duty pins for safety support of pipe in deep wells. D C

FTC-60 Tubing Heads are also available with integrated "OO" seal type bottom (FTC-60-OO) or plastic injection (FTC-60-PI) or with reducer bushings.

FTCM Tubing Hanger

FTCM-H is an extended neck and threaded single completion tubing hanger, sealing the annular space by compression which is energized by lock down screws in the FTCM tubing head. The upper part of the extended neck has "S" type spring seals to pack against the internal diameter of the tubing head adapter, making a reliable and tested way to confine the well pressure. The FTCM-H is used with the FTC-EN tubing bonnet. The FTCM-CH is same as FTCM-H but is arranged for a maximum of one control line up to 3/8" OD, which is terminated at the bottom of the hanger. The FTCM-CH hanger is made to work in conjunction with the FTC-CL tubing bonnet. The FTCM-CCH tubing hanger is arranged for a continuous OD control line up to 1/4" in diameter. The control line for this type of hanger enters the bottom of the body and exits the body above the annular seal and below the extended neck. This allows more than one control line and would be designated by the model name, ie. FTCM-CC2H. This hanger works in conjunction with the FTC-CC style tubing bonnet. The FTCM tubing hanger is available in 7-1/16" size with 2-3/8, 2-7/8, and 3-1/2 EUE 8RD tubing threads.

FTC-60 Tubing Hanger FTC-60 tubing hanger is a split hanger with integral packoff which allows selective and independent running and pulling of tubing strings. Once both strings are landed in the tubing head, the annular packoff seal is activated by the lockdown screws. No plastic injection nor addition of other packoff element is required to produce the annular seal. FTC-1W Tubing Hanger

FTC-1W is a slick-joint wrap-around tubing hanger which does not require a polished joint to slip over the tubing pipe inset. The seal between the pipe and the hanger is obtained by energizing the lockdown screws in the upper flange head.

FTC-1A Tubing Hanger FTC-1A is a threaded hanger with an automatic load actuated packoff. This tubing hanger can be supplied with back-pressure valve threads. FBO-2 Tubing Bonnet FBO-2 has an API flanged bottom and studded top connection. A socket in the lower bore consists of a support thread and a radial seal surface for the FBO-2 coupling hanger. The coupling hanger has back-pressure valve preparation that provides well control until Christmas Tree is installed. FBO-2 is certified for use up to 10,000 psi at -50ºF to 250ºF. Note: This bonnet is designed to work in conjunction with FTC-1W hangers only.

FB-2-P & FB-2-S Tubing Bonnet FB-2-P & FB-2-S tubing bonnets have API flanged bottom and studded / flange top connections. These bonnets have female sealing threads to suspend tubing over FTC-1W wraparound hanger packoff or can be used with the FTC-1A hanger. FTC Tubing Bonnet The FTC-EN, FTC-CL, and FTC-CC tubing bonnets are designed to work in conjunction with the FTCM-H, FTCM-CH, and FTCM-CC tubing hangers. All FTC-type bonnets can be used with the FTCM-H tubing hanger. The tubing bonnets fit over the extended neck tubing hangers to provide a radial sealing surface for the "S" type spring seals on the extended neck of the tubing hanger to seal in the tubing bonnet. The tubing bonnet is composed of an API thru-bolt bottom flange and a studded top flange. The bottom flanges have 1/2" test ports.

FTC-EN Tubing Bonnet

FTC tubing bonnets are available with 2-1/16" to 31/16" 2,000 to 10,000 psi top flanges and 7-1/16" and 11" 2,000 to 10,000 psi bottom flanges. The FTC-CL tubing bonnet is arranged for a maximum of one control line, which is terminated at the bottom of the FTCM-CL body. The FTC-CC is arranged for 1/4" maximum OD continuous control line, which enters the bottom of the body and exits the body through the 3/8" LP connection. This bonnet can accommodate more than one control line designated by the model name, i.e. FTC-CC2.

Dual Tubing Bonnet The tubing bonnet for dual completion provides a safe and easy solution for working pressures up to 5,000 PSI. Bottom connection is a studded flange to be directly assembled to the Tubing Head upper flange. The 5 bolt studded top connection is ready to receive two segmented flanged ends recessed body master valves. The internal bottom design of these bonnets is prepared to receive sealing sleeves threaded on the tubing hanger, to confine the fluid pressure in each string.

Conventional Wellhead Systems Conventional Wellhead systems are designed to establish the next level of technology above the Commodity Wellhead system. The technology incorporated into the design of the conventional wellhead system is more extensive, yet the equipment produced by Vetco Gray continues to provide the customer with an economical solution, especially when taking into account its added features. Each of the preferred casing heads provides solutions to these required functions through the use of different bowl technologies developed through time. These bowls are named as follows.

Casing heads provide a secure connection between the surface casing and the blowout preventor during drilling, and support the next casing string in the bowl. The most commonly used bowl is CWCT (Complete Well Control Taper). When the limits of CWCT bowl are exceeded, then the D15 type bowl is used. The features of a casing head are:

CWCT/D15 Casing Head

v Support - The bowl provides a load area, which must be able to support the casing hanger (mandrel or slip type), the weight of the entire casing string, and the load from testing the wellhead connection if no test protector is used. The bowl accommodates both W and WE type of slip hangers and mandrel hangers.

v Seal - The bowl provides a sealing area to isolate the annulus between the inside diameter of the bowl and the outside diameter of the casing. The casing hanger, or a separate seal assembly usually provides this seal. v Side outlets - Side outlets are available with line pipe thread and studded options. All outlets are prepared for valve removal plugs.

v Bottom connection - Slip-On-Weld and Buttress thread, with Base Plate are available. Optional are Slip-loc and VG-loc connections.

The type W casing hanger is a wrap-around, slip-type, weight-set hanger. It may be installed through the BOP and is suitable for heavy casing loads. The hanger supports casing weight and seals the annulus before the BOP is removed. Weight is supported on a solid shoulder not on seal – therefore, it will not over-compress the seal. The upper body diameter is larger to centralize and protect seals.

Type W Casing Hanger

WE Casing Hanger (Group III) The type WE casing hanger is a wrap-around, sliptype hanger. The hanger is capable of supporting heavy casing loads, and is used when the annulus seal is required independent of casing load. The hanger is installed at the casing head or spool. The elastomer seal is mechanically activated by cap screws. This hanger is used commonly above mudline systems.

Mandrel Casing Hanger Mandrel casing hangers have a control taper annular seal area. The corresponding taper in the bowl creates a positive, redundant metal-to-metal area contact seal. The seal is above the load shoulder of the hanger. The bowl/seal interface is a partial load bearing surface. The upper neck of the metal-flex hanger creates a metal-tometal seal in the bottom bowl of the next component. The nomenclature are CWCT-F6 or D15-F6 based on the type of bowl.

The CWC-PMW seal has elastomer chevron rings that seal against rough casing. The seal is energized by injecting sealant into pressure rings. Metal backup rings prevent pressure extrusion during thermal cycling. CWC-PMW seal is certified to PR2 to 15,000 psi at 20°F. to +250°F. The CWC-P seal will have Chevron-S female rings instead of metal back up rings.

The CB seal is a metal-to-metal seal that works on rough casing. Pipe movement will not disturb the seal. The CB seal is certified to PR2 to 20,000 psi at -75°F. to +400°F.

The GMW seal is a flexible graphite packoff seal that works on rough casing. A shaped graphite seal is positioned between metal backup rings with specially tapered profiles. The GMW seal is certified to PR2 to 20,000 psi at -75°F. to +450°F.

Available in sizes of 11” and larger, the tubing head bowl profile is identical to that of a casing head or spool, and offers the advantage of using a Type W or WE style slip casing hanger should drilling conditions warrant another string of casing. The bowl profile is a forty-five degree load shoulder, a taper for metal-tometal seals in between two straight bore seal areas, and a forty-five degree accessory shoulder at the top.

The CWC bowl profile in size 7” starts from the top with a straight bore that leads down to a taper for metal-to-metal seals. This taper is followed by another short straight bore that leads into a recessed stress relief area immediately above the ninety degree primary load shoulder. Tubing Head

The tubing head operates in a temperature range of -75ºF to 350ºF. The top connection can be either flange, NT-2, NT-2F or hub. Set screws meet API 6A Group 5 requirements. Preparation can be made for CWC-P, CWC-PMW, GMW or CB secondary seals. The nomenclature is the same as a casing spool.

Tubing Hanger All Complete Well Control tubing hangers include the exclusive control taper and Metal-Flex design. These sealing mechanisms provide the reliability of 45 years of field proven performance. No other hanger can match this record. The single completion CWC, CWCT, and D15 tubing hangers feature a control taper metal-to-metal annular seal, and a Metal-Flex metal-to-metal seal between hanger neck and tubing bonnet with internal threads for threaded or wireline back pressure valves. Optional control line settings for hydraulic safety valves and continuous control line are available. The CWC, CWCT, and D15 tubing hangers are certified to PR2, Appendix F as per API to 15,000 psi at -75ºF to 350ºF.

The tubing hanger is available with an internal lockdown feature that eliminates set screws - no throughthe-wall penetrations - and can be set and locked down through the BOP.

The dual completion CWCT/D15-FS tubing hanger includes dual segments and compression seal assembly. The Metal-Flex metal-to-metal seal between hanger neck and tubing bonnet is for threaded or wireline back pressure valves. Single parent body with insert type hanger design is also available. The CWCT/D15-FSC has control line settings for hydraulic safety valves. The CWCT/D15-FS and CWCT/D15-FSC tubing hangers are certified to PR2, Appendix F as per API to 10,000 psi at -75ºF to 350ºF.

Dual Completion (D-Type Bonnet) Dual completion tubing bonnets perform the same function as a single completion bonnet in that they provide the transition from the wellhead to lower master valve of the production tree. In this type, the bonnet must seal over two hangers and ensure that fluids are isolated between each string. The isolation seals use the same Metal-Flex sealing design found in the F6 single completions.

NT-2 Wellhead Connector A superior alternative to traditional flanges and clamps, the NT-2 overcomes the slow makeup time, high torque requirements, and handling difficulties inherent in API bolted flanges as well as large segmented clamps. In fact, in 1992 the connector was awarded the distinction as "The world's fastest make-up wellhead connector" by Petroleum Engineer International magazine. The NT-2 family of connectors offers a full range of sizes and pressure ratings, fully fire tested to API 6FB (Part II) and performance verified to API 6A, PR2 (-75° F to 350° F). Vetco Gray developed the first Sliploc technology 45 years ago to eliminate the time and cost associated with welding. The Sliploc connector is used with development systems. Today's high performance systems provide for repositioning, releasability and seal renewal with a choice of elastomer or metal seals.

VG-loc is a connector used with exploration systems designed for fast, reliable makeup for diverter systems and casing heads onto plain end pipe without welding or extensive preparation. The connector stabs over a field-cut casing stub and locks and seals to the stub utilizing a slip assembly actuated by set screws which drive and hold the slips against the pipe.

In the 1950’s, Vetco Gray pioneered the multibowl concept to the oil and gas industry. The idea of suspending multiple strings of casing or tubing within one wellhead component was developed initially to reduce rig time that was being spent removing the blowout preventer stack after running each casing string and then re-installing it. As the multibowl wellhead developed, the system became shorter and lighter, significantly reducing the overall weight of the rig on which it is installed compared to other wellhead system installations.

The MBW tubing head adapter is provided with a connection top to suit the production tree connection.

The MBW tubing hanger lands on the casing hanger pack-off and is locked in place by tiedown screws. Tubing hanger designs include wrap around and mandrel style. Metal sealing for the tubing annulus is available. Control line options are available both continuous and ported with nipple.

Upper Casing Spool The upper casing spool comes attached to the lower spool and has a straight-bore design and is offered with a flange or studded top. The casing spool includes two sets of lockscrews to lockdown the wellhead hangers. The spool is available with studded outlets.

Emergency Pack-off Support Bushing

Emergency Slip and Seal Assembly In the event that the casing requires slip suspension, the upper casing spool is lifted to facilitate setting the slip type hanger. The casing is cut and the pack-off bushing is installed.

Casing Hanger Pack-off Bushing The MBW casing hanger pack-off lands on the casing hanger and is locked in place by tiedown screws. The inner and outer seals of the pack-off are radially energized high strength elastomer.

Lower Casing Head

MBW Casing Hanger

The lower casing head incorporates a slip on weld or Slip-Loc quick connect non-welded connection bottom. The lower casing head is available with line pipe, threaded, flange or studded outlets. The bowl of the casing head is a straight bore with a 45" landing shoulder.

The MBW casing hanger is a high capacity, mandrel type hanger that is rated to the full joint strength of the suspended casing. The hanger is designed with integral flutes which allow returns to pass up through the BOP stack.

The MBW system has a full compliment of installation tools including BOP test plugs, wear bushings and handling tools.

Arco Alaska Multibowl Horizontal Tree

A horizontal production tree allows complete access to the well bore without removing the tree. The well is produced from the side of the tubing hanger and flows horizontally through the master valve. HT horizontal trees are ideal on wells where frequent tubing/downhole completion recoveries are anticipated, such as ESP applications. Also, HT horizontal trees can deliver economic benefits on natural flow wells, as a conventional riser /workover system is not required.

VGS Casing Head VGS casing heads use a full opening, tapered bore design and accept either VGS or VGA casing slip and seal assemblies. Lower connections are available in either threaded or slip-on configuration for welding. The slip-on lower connection is furnished with a 1/2” (12.7 mm) test port. VGOF Tubing Head VGOF tubing heads use a tapered bore and are full opening. 2-1/16” (52.4 mm) studded outlets or 2” (50.8 mm) line pipe outlets are available. 2-1/16” (52.4 mm) studded outlets accept 1-1/2” (38.1 mm) valve removal plugs for repair or removal of full opening valves. The top flange, complete with lockdown screw assemblies, enables the tubing hanger to be locked in place. VGOF tubing heads are designed to accommodate standard tubing hangers. The lower flange has 1/2” (12.7 mm) test ports that allow pressure testing of the secondary seals.

Single Flange VGOF Tubing Head The VGOF tubing head is a flanged top by threaded or slip-on bottom for welding connection, that is completed with GA-1, WP-1 or XP-1 tubing hangers. The tubing hanger is held in place with lockdown screws. A GT, GF or XP adapter flange is available for production tree completion. Secondary Seals Type P-1 and Type P-2 The P-1 and P-2 casing packoffs, or secondary seals, are installed in the bottom of spools with corresponding preparation. The type P secondary seal is a pressureenergized, double-lip type seal.

Type P-1 Secondary Seal

The P-1 secondary seal is energized by injecting plastic through the flange port. The P-2 packoff has two plastic-energized secondary seals and is used for high pressure applications. While in service, the seals can be energized by injection of additional plastic. The secondary seals can be used as a pressure crossover by restricting the area exposed to pressure. VG-200 Gate Valve The Series 200 gate valve is a simple design ideal for general service application for working pressures at or below 5,000 psi. This model gate valve has been successful since being introduced early in 1990. It is in worldwide service on production trees in low alloy, stainless and H2S resistant trims with both resilient and metal-to-metal sealing configurations.

VG-300 GateValve The series 300 gate valve is a high performance valve for pressures ranging from 5,000 to 15,000 psi. The VG-300 is a downstream sealing valve, in all pressure ranges, minimizing the operating forces required and ensuring that in a fail-safe actuated valve, pressure can enter the gate cavity to provide the closing force on the stem. These valves are firmly established in the industry and are in use in every oil and gas producing area of the world. A split gate design is available.

Model D Gate Valve

The Model D valve has been a workhorse since its introduction in the 1970's, maintaining exceptional customer loyalty for its reliability. The Model D valve has a two-piece expanding gate that seals equally as well from either direction with a fixed seat arrangement with face to face sealing. Thousands of Model D valves are successfully controlling oil and gas production around the world, both onshore and offshore.

Features & Benefits w Rated for 3,000, 5,000, 10,000 and 15,000 psi service in sizes from 1-13/16" to 7-1/16", with threaded ends, API flange, studded block or VG-seal end connections. w VG-Seal bonnet seal ring creates the seal between the bonnet and the body. This patented seal ring provides a proven, safe, reusable, metal-to-metal seal. w The single injection fitting in the bonnet flange is used to inject lubricant or sealant. The injection port leads into the valve bore, the back seat and below the stem packing. w Alignment of the gate conduit with the bore through the valve body is achieved by the square bottom stem pocket on each gate half contacting the end of the valve stem when the gates assume the full open position.

w Rotation of the non-rising stem in the drive bushing raises or lowers the gate assembly. w In a closed position, the ramps of the gate segments contact the expander, mechanically forcing the gate segments against the seats. This positive contact initiates the seal without relying on well pressure. w The backseat can be selectively set to seal the stem and the bonnet through metal-to-metal sealing technology. w Back-seating isolates the stem packing in emergency situations and allows the packing to be removed and replaced while the valve is under pressure. w Certified to PR2, Appendix F, -75ºF to 350ºF.

SR-CT2 Gate Valve SR-CT2 valves are used in extreme service applications with pressure ratings of 15,000 and 20,000 psi, sizes from 1-13/16" to 4-1/16" with API flange and VG-Seal end connections. The SR-CT2 valve incorporates the field proven and PR2 tested SR valve design with slip gates, non-rising stem, full metal sealing, and CT2 stem packing.

Features & Benefits w Forged body and bonnet construction with no penetration into the pressure cavity below the metal-to-metal backseat seal. w VG-Seal bonnet seal ring seals the forged bonnet to the forged body. w Split gates have coil springs between the segments to maintain positive gate to seat and seat to body contact, with full metal sealing at both high pressure and high temperature. w Rotating, non-rising stem with integral bearing flange. The stem is contained in a manner to allow rotation but not axial movement as it opens and closes the valve. w The back seat is located on the drive bushing and can be selectively set to seal in the bonnet with a metal-to-metal seal. w Roller bearings on each side of the integral bearing flange absorb thrust exerted by the combination of well pressure and thrust forces during gate movement. w Only one high pressure injection port for emergency sealant injection into the CT2 stem packing cartridge. w A separate, high pressure injection port is used for lubrication and also can be used to pressure test the gate-to-seat and seat-to-body seals. w Reverse acting gate design allows easy conversion to remote actuated valve operation. Positive Chokes All Vetco Gray positive chokes come with a one-piece bean, which can be easily changed without removing the choke from the production line. After shutting in the well, pressure is bled from the choke body. Then the bonnet is removed, and a bean wrench is used to remove and replace the bean. The various sizes of positive beans allow the production flow to be set as needed. There are six different models of positive chokes available. The differences between these choke designations relates to the type of inlet and outlet connection, pressure rating and type of bean.

Adjustable Chokes Vetco Gray's range of adjustable choke products allows users to select an appropriate model for a particular application, from the most economical FO-60 with threaded inlet and outlet, to the most robust FJW-A/VG-400H2 for 10,000 psi applications. All adjustable choke assemblies are supplied with a position indicator sleeve and a lock screw to fix the stem at the desired orifice size.

For an adjustable choke, the flow area between the stem tip and the orifice may also be adjusted by rotating the stem. The bean change is accomplished by removing the bonnet/stem assembly and using a similar bean wrench, remove the old “orifice” bean and replace it with a new one. There are five different models of chokes available in this category. The differences between these choke designations relates to the type of inlet and outlet connection, pressure rating and type of bean.

(formerly DANCO) manufactures low-pressure valves and wellheads for use in oil and gas wells, with some 20 percent of its production exported to other South American countries. This facility broadens Vetco Gray’s product range and opens new market opportunities for other ABB VG products in the growing Argentina oil and gas market, the second largest in Latin America in terms of wells drilled. ABB Vetco Gray is upgrading the production technology of this plant. In Argentina addition to the main manufacturing facility, we also maintain three Field Service locations in the region: Neuquen & Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, and Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.

Vetco Gray de Mexico is a leading supplier of pressure containing equipment for oil and gas production in Mexico, supplying wellheads and gate valves used in oil and gas wells to customers around the world. The primary facility is located in Maracaibo (Zulia) and consists of manufacturing, repair and refurbishment services, sales and the administrative offices for ABB Vetco Gray de Venezuela C.A. ABB also has a sales and service office in Maturin (Monagas) in the eastern part of Venezuela and a service facility in Punta de Mata, also in Monagas.
