Safety Guidelines DANGER
Work inside Step/Pallet Band Do not perform any work inside the step/pallet band before switching off and padlock the main switch JHA. This will prevent starting the unit by mistake. DANGER Emergency Stop Button JHRE As a matter of principle, always press the emergency stop button JHRE at the location where work takes place. This will prevent starting the unit by mistake. DANGER Unauthorized Access Secure the unit against accidental or unauthorized access. Set up warning signs and barriers to alert passengers to the fact that the unit is not in use. DANGER Bypassing Contacts As a matter of principle, it is strictly prohibited to bypass any contacts. This will prevent the unit for unsafe condition. DANGER High Voltage Contact to high voltage will lead to death. Switch off the circuit breaker in the building and secure it against accidental or unauthorized access.

No Passengers on the Unit During a Technical Test Passenger on the unit while running a technical test will result in death or serious injury. Do not allow any passengers on the unit while running a technical test. WARNING It is absolutely necessary to Perform the Learning Run before the First Run with the Key Switch If the learning run is not performed correctly, malfunctions and incorrect error diagnoses could occur later on. Do not interrupt the learning run at any time by turning off the unit or resetting any PCBs. NOTICE Electrostatic Sensitive Device Printed circuit boards (PCBs) are equipped with electrostatic sensitive semiconductors. Thus beware of electrostatic discharge and direct contact with the semiconductors. – Ground yourself by touching the control cabinet for electrostatic discharge. – Do not directly touch the PCB components. – Always use the original antistatic packing when transporting the PCBs. Only appropriate tools, devices and materials may be used. The specifications on the safety data sheet for lubricants (oils, greases, etc.) must be met.

All types The following five safety rules must be observed: 1
5
Before starting maintenance work, put up barriers to protect passers-by and "Out of Order" signs (if hinged floor covers are used, they must be properly opened and locked). As soon as a floor cover has to be removed (or folded up) and before entering the pit, connect the maintenance operating panel. Perform all trial runs with the maintenance operating panel. When carrying out maintenance work inside the step/pallet band, turn off and padlock the main switch in the machine room. Never turn on escalators or moving walks under load.

[J6] - Software of PCBs is not compatible Check if the correct PCBs are used. Check with FCOM5 if the first two numbers of the software version of all PCBs are identical and according to the control cabinet sticker.
[J7] - Software versions do not match The software of the PCBs is compatible but the versions are different. Update the software between the PCBs: Set the DIL switch S7/2 at PB to ON position. An alternating display shows the following information: – PCB with the higher software version ([J8] = PB, [J9] = PT) – Blank display – First two digits of higher software version ([51] for V5102) – Last two digits of higher software version ([02] for V5102) – Blank display. Press the OK button at the PCB with the lower software version. The OK button works only at the PCB with the lower software version. The software will be copied to the PCB where the OK button was pressed. The display on the source PCB will show [_o] in a rotating manner, the target PCB [oo]. The software update takes some time. Set the DIL switches according to the control cabinet sticker.

Maintenance Operating Panel DANGER
Emergency Stop Button JHRE As a matter of principle, always press the emergency stop button JHRE on the maintenance operating panel when not in use. This will prevent starting the unit by mistake. If the error message [E_45] is shown while opening the cover of the inspection outlet, the EoS mode is not active. To reset the error close the inspection cover again. A restart is blocked for up to 4 seconds with direct drives and when the panel buttons are pressed in rapid succession. This is necessary to prevent the fuses from tripping. The step/pallet band, handrail and brake monitor are not active during inspection operation. The motor speed is only monitored for overspeed. Make sure the unit is in the EoS mode, the safety circuit is closed and no unacknowledged errors are present (except for a floor cover contact error). Open the cover of the inspection outlet on top of the control cabinet. – The display shows [r_r0] after a short time. – The safety brake - if installed - is released. – Now the unit can be operated by the maintenance operating panel.

An existing file with the same file name will be overwritten without warning. History folder “History” folder stores the history of the data when using [dCco] menu. The text file containing the history data is named after the commissioning number of the unit from where it was copied and the date from the RTC in the structure YYYYMMDD. Project folder “Project” folder stores the parameter set when using [dPco] menu. The Cf1 file name is the commissioning number of the unit from which it was copied. To load a parameter set from the Semi5-Card to the PCB: The Cf1 file must be stored in the “Project” folder. The file name must be identical to the commissioning number indicated on the control cabinet sticker. The parameter P1513 – P1517 on the PCB must be set according to the control cabinet sticker. Software folder “Software” folder is the storage to load software to all PCBs using [dSLd] menu or to a single PCB using DIL switch S7/8. More than one software version can be stored in the “Software” folder. It is not possible to copy software from the PCB to the Semi5-Card.

Replacement Check the skirt lenses for dirt and scratches which can be the cause of the malfunction before replacing a transmitter or receiver. Transmitter circuit is colored in black. Receiver circuit is colored in red. Do not mix.
Switch off and padlock all power supply switches (JHA, light circuit, heating). Alternately loosen the two fixing screws of the defective device. Disconnect the defective device from the ribbon cable. Remove the O-ring and check it for damage. Replace it if damaged. Insert the O-ring into the new device. Connect the new device to the ribbon cable. Secure the connector with the fixing screws. Do not use force. Fit the device to the bracket. Switch on the unit and check the function.

Balustrade lighting DANGER
High Voltage Contact to high voltage will lead to death. Switch off the circuit breaker in the building and secure it against accidental or unauthorized access.
Troubleshooting Switch off and padlock the power supply of the balustrade lighting. Bridge one tube at the time with a high voltage insulated cable. Switch on the power supply. – If the tubes light up the bridged tube is defective. Switch off and padlock the power supply of the balustrade lighting. Replace defective tube and silicone caps.

10 Lobby Vision 10.1 Requirements Units should be equipped with the latest software version. RMS box should be equipped with software version X582340_09 (version 1009). The communication cable must meet the specification of order number 183918. Maximum allowed cable length is 1000 meter in total. Otherwise a repeater is required. Both ends of the communication line must be terminated with a 120 Ohm resistor (Jumper on 31/32). Maximum 7 units connected in one string when a PEM4.Q PCB is within this string (RMS box is a PEM4.Q PCB). Otherwise a repeater is required. Maximum 30 units connected in one string when no PEM4.Q PCB is within this string. Maximum 30 units connected to one RMS box. Communication cable connection according to the wiring diagram.
