Introduction The Service Tool Connecter is used to establish a remote connection between CADI-GC and an elevator group which is connected on a LobbyVision3 system (V1.03 or higher).

Establish a connection step by step

3.1

Start the LobbyVision3 Service Tool Connecter After startup of the LobbyVision3 Service Tool Connecter the following window is displaying.

Establish the connection to the LobbyVision3 Dispatcher • “IP Address/Host Name” : Enter the IP Address or the host name of the LobbyVision3 Dispatcher where the elevator group is connected which you like to connect by CADI-GC. • “Port” :

• Press the button “Connect”

24045 is the default port identifier where the LobbyVision3 Dispatcher is listening.This value should not be modified except the default value was modified on the LobbyVision3 system side.

Dispatcher Connet State The following connet states will be displayed during the connetion procedure. Connet State Disconnected Checking Host Name...

Description The LobbyVision3 Service Tool Connecter is not connected to a LobbyVision3 Dispatcher This state will be skipped if an IP address was entered. The entered host name will be checked. A message box will appears in case the host name is invalid respectively the host name could not be resolved. The LobbyVision3 Service Tool Connecter is trying to establish a connection to the LobbyVision3 Dispatcher. A message box will appears in case the Service Tool Connecter could not establish a connection within 20 seconds. The LobbyVision3 Service Tool Connecter is connected to a LobbyVision3 Dispatcher.

Establish the connection to a group The LobbyVision3 Service Tool Connecter will request the access states of all elevator groups which can be accessed and list these in the table, after the connection to a LobbyVision3 Dispatcher is established. This procedure will take some seconds, depends on the number of groups and on the quality of the LAN/WAN connection. The table lists only elevator groups which are supported by CADI-GC. Supported elevator groups : • MX-GC • TX-GC SW-Version 2.00 or higher • TX-GC2 Select the group which you like to connect by CADI-GC. Press the “Connect” button.

Group States The following states can be displayed for a group listed in the table. State

Description The group is available for a connection by CADI-GC. This group is not available because it is already connected by an other CADI-GC. The “Connect” button was pressed and the LobbyVision3 Service Tool Connecter is waiting for a response after it has sent a connect request to the group. The group is reserved for you and is waiting for a CADI-GC connection. If no CADI-GC is connected within two minutes, the group will released and the state changes to “available”. The group is connected with your CADI-GC.

Start the CADI-GC If the state of the selected group displays this symbol

Select the “Remote Connection” tab Select “MX/TX-GC via LobbyVision 3” as connection Type “127.0.0.1” (localhost) is used in case both applications are running on same PC (default). Therefor leave The “IP Address” respectively the “Host Name/PC Name” untouched except the CADI-GC and the LobbyVision3 Service Tool Connecter are not running on same PC. Press the “Start” button.

Press the “Disconnect” button of the group in the groups table on the LobbyVision3 Service Tool connecter to release the group.
