* Prerequisites DANGER

Hazardous Voltage Contact with live parts will result in electric shock causing serious injury or death. Take the following precautions:  Do not touch live parts.  Switch off the main switch and de-energize the installation completely before starting to work on the installation. WARNING Bypassing of Safety Devices and Safety Contacts Any bypassing of safety-relevant devices could result in damage to the installation or in serious injury or death.  Bypassing the safety circuit without explicit instruction is prohibited.  Always take appropriate safety measures if premeditated bypassing is necessary for specific work on the installation.  Do not use bypassing of safety devices if prohibited by local code.  Always leave the installation with all bypassing disabled. WARNING Installation Travel with ESE During Installation and Commissioning Installation travel with ESE is not limited at the hoistway ends, which could result in damage to the installation by the car crashing at a hoistway end. Moreover, the presence of people and material on the construction site in combination with an installation which is only partly completed makes installation travel during installation and commissioning a potentially hazardous maneuver, which could result in serious injury or death. Take the following precautions:  Move the car very carefully through the hoistway.  Make sure that the installation travel puts neither people nor materials at risk. NOTICE Plugging/Unplugging Connectors on Energized Devices Hot plugging - unless explicitly permitted - could result in the destruction of devices. Prior to plugging in or unplugging connectors on devices, switch off the devices concerned. To ensure efficient diagnostics and troubleshooting, the following requirements must be complied with:  Only personnel familiar with the product and qualified through training are authorized to carry out the procedures specified in this manual.  All diagnostic procedures must be carried out in sequence. Do not continue with the next step until the step in progress has been completed successfully.  Where applicable, sufficient lighting must be available in the hoistway and on the car for safe working. Execution of Measuring Travel NOTICE

Getting Trapped During Measuring Travel If the car gets blocked during measuring travel, unblocking of the car has to be performed at the control cabinet. A technician staying in the car, on the car roof or in the hoistway during measuring travel could get trapped and therefore would depend on outside help for rescue and unblocking the car. Always initiate measuring travel from a safe location. Execution of Measuring Travel

No 605

Step Turn the following switches and circuit breakers ON:  JH, main power switch  SIL, lighting mains fuse (if present)  JHO, options main switch (if present)  SIS, control main switch (if present) Wait until the boot sequence finishes, and the SMLCD displays the elevator status. Make sure that the car door remains closed during the boot sequence.

606

Move the car using the recall control station and take note of the signal change from KUETs by checking the LED LUET on the user interface. Check the correct installation of KUETs by counting the floor numbers.

607

Position the car in the door zone at the uppermost floor. Check that the LED LUET on the user interface is ON. During the measuring travel the elevator control compares the number of KUET signals with the PCT (chip card). It is therefore very important to start at the uppermost floor.

608

Before proceeding, make sure that nobody is in the car or in the hoistway.

609

AS, execute the following steps to start measuring travel: 1) Use SMLCD to activate the measuring travel: Login - Commands - Special Trips - JLF - OK 2) Set JMOF to position "0" 3) Set JRH to position "NORMAL".

 The elevator control initializes a measuring travel.  The car travels to the bottom floor and remains in the door zone.  After releveling, the measuring travel is finished. XX = actual position of car.

Step Check the SMLCD display:

Be aware that the SMLCD may display a variation of the indication shown above, depending on installation and SW version 611

SMLCD, execute a "Drive End Commissioning" to save the learned hoistway image to NVRAM: Login - Commands - Drv End Commis - OK. Wait until SMLCD displays: DrvEndCommis Success

612

Check that for every entrance side one door movement has been done: Send the car to a floor with entrance side 1 (and if present to entrance side 2) by using SMLCD and ensure the door opens and closes. Login - Commands - Car Call - Floor - Entry Side - OK. This launches the measuring travel of the door drive.

613

Use SMLCD to execute car calls and check that the car travels to the correct floor and the door opens properly. Login - Commands - Car Call - Floor - Entry Side - OK. Make sure that nobody is in the car and nobody enters the car during these trips.

For SW versions  2.60, the distance parameter KSERE is set automatically according to the installation type:  100 mm for MRL elevators with car maintenance platform (for example P23K)  600 mm for MRL elevators without car maintenance platform (for example W38K)  1500 mm for MR elevators. 614

Applicable only to SW versions < 2.60. Use the SMLCD to adjust the KSERE-Dist parameter: Login - Parameters - Drive General - KSERE-Dist. This parameter defines the stopping position at each hoistway end when the car travels in inspection mode. The distance is measured from the bottom or, respectively, top landing floor. Typical values are between 100 and 1000 mm, depending on braking deceleration and load condition. Make sure to set a safe value even for worst case conditions (that is an empty car traveling upward or a full car traveling downward). The car should be prevented from reaching the KNE-D/U position.

8.4 About BIO2 Landing Fixtures

* Setup of BIO2 Fixtures

In this chapter the BIO2 Landing Fixtures Teach-in procedure is described. With those procedure:  The elevator control learns all LIPs and LOPs and their location (floor number and entrance side). Further the LIPs and LOPs themselves learn their location and can be addressed by the elevator control. Important to know:  After power on, single or double reset wait 5 minutes before starting Teach-in.  Key switches/lamps need further configuration. This is done on the node itself with a separate mechanical setting (e.g. DIP switch) or with programmable PCBAs (see next chapter).  If the configuration data resulting from a teach-in requires correction, there is no other way than redo the teach-in. A teach-in always overwrites the existing configuration data.  For floors with restricted access see "Restricted Access" (Locked floors will not be served during Teach-in)  For parallel operated doors, see "Parallel Operated Doors".  If there are unintended landing calls during the "Teach-in" procedure see "Unintended landing calls during Teach-in Mode with opened/closed doors"  A single reset on GCIOB360 is needed before starting Teach-in.  CADI-GC or SMLCD shall not be used to generate car calls during the Teach-in procedure. With the BIO2 landing bus for MX-GC the following hardware components will be used:  PCBA BIODCE (BIO Direction, Calls, E-Fixtures) Landing Indicating / Operating Panel with Further Travel Indicator  PCBA BIOPCSE (BIO Position, Calls, Switches, E-Fixtures) Landing Indicating / Operating Panel with Position- and Further Travel-Indicator  PCBA BIOAPI (BIO Asia Pacific Indicator) Landing Indicating / Operating Panel for Asia / Pacific  PCBA SLCU2 (Smart Landing Call Unit 2), (DE, JBF or JDE)  PCBA SLCUM2 (Smart Landing Call Unit 2 Main Floor) (DE-U/D, JBF or JDE, direction arrows, gong, gray code indicator)  PCBA SLCUX1 (Smart Landing Call Unit X), (4 Inputs / Outputs)  PCBA BPC(S)DG or BPC(S)DR (BIO Positions indicators with Calls (and Switches) for D-fixtures (Green or Red) - D-fixtures landing indicating and operating panel for D-AP LOP.

The LOP pushbutton must be pressed within 12 seconds after the doors are open. 3 seconds after releasing the LOP pushbutton, the acknowledge lamp on the LOP turns on for 3 seconds and the buzzer in the COP beeps 3 times (with SLCUX two more times Any further configuration is disabled until another car call is executed.

827

For every landing operating panel repeat the last two steps. When the configuration is complete travel back to the floor where the controller cabinet is located. (Travel to controller cabinet prevents form unintended configuration by passengers.)

828

Use the SMLCD to deactivate the "Teach-in" mode: Login - Commands - Teach-in - OFF - OK.

Parallel Operated Doors

829

If there are two entrance sides with parallel operated doors on the same landing, execute the following steps: On entrance side 1, press the LOP pushbutton UP (or the only LOP button) for 5 seconds. The LOP pushbutton must be pressed within 12 seconds after the doors are open. Three seconds after releasing the pushbutton on the LOP, the acknowledge lamps on the LOP turns on for 3 seconds and the buzzer in the COP beeps

830

Go back in the car and execute a car call for the same floor again: On entrance side 2, press the LOP pushbutton UP (or the only button) for 5 seconds. The LOP pushbutton must be pressed within 12 seconds after the doors are open. Three seconds after releasing the button on the LOP, the acknowledge lamp on the LOP turns on for 3 seconds and the buzzer in the COP beeps.

Restricted Access

831

If there are locked floors by restricted access feature, execute the following steps: 1) Disable the restricted access. 2) On entrance side 1, press the LOP pushbutton UP (or the only LOP button) for 5 seconds. The LOP pushbutton must be pressed within 12 seconds after the doors are open. Three seconds after releasing the button on the LOP:  The acknowledge lamps on the LOP switches on for 3 seconds  The buzzer in the COP beeps for 1 second.

Unintended Landing Calls During Teach-in Mode with Opened Doors

832

If an unintended landing call is entered this landing operating panel will be configured with the location of the landing on which the car is located. The buzzer in the COP beeps. Any further configuration is disabled until another car call is entered. In this case the wrong configured landing operating panel has to be configured again. In "Teach-in" mode, landing calls are not served as such but work as configuration inputs.

Unintended Landing Calls During Teach-in Mode with Closed Doors

Landing calls for configuration purpose are not accepted if the car door is not fully open. This prevents unintended configuration by elevator passengers. 833

8.5 About the BIO2 Landing Interface

Setup of BIO2 Interfaces

In this chapter the settings of the BIO2 Landing Interface SLCUX for parallel fixtures are described. For Learning the location (floor and entrance side) of single LIPs and LOPs the "Teach-in" procedure is used. For the teach-in procedure, refer to chapter "Setup of BIO2 Fixtures" in this document. The settings have to be completed before starting with the I/O configuration. Reassigning a function to a redundant I/O requires a 2-step procedure: 1) Assign "No Function" to the respective I/O (this deletes the old function). This step has be carried out on both controls that are associated with the redundant I/O. 2) Assign the desired new function to the respective I/O. This procedure is required even if the reassigned new function is non-redundant. No

Service Codes Miconic 10

Introduction

Several services in basic elevator function M10 can be activated and deactivated using service code entries on the Z-Line or Z-Line II Terminals.

Activation of Service Codes

Service codes are activated as follows:  Click on the handicapped key of the M10 terminal to initiate the execution of a service code.  This is acknowledged on the terminal display by indication of a 'h'.  Click a second time on the handicapped key.  A 'c' is displayed and number of the service code can be entered (see table below for valid codes).  During entry, there is no display of the entered digits.  Invalid entries are acknowledged by displaying '??'.  If a request cannot be executed, 'XX' is displayed.

Standard Service Codes

Service codes are identified by a four or three digit number and have the following initial values (length and assignment can be changed, see below): Standard Service Code 1)

Activation State (Activity on Success)

1) The service codes in the table are the initial values of the external service codes, which are identical to the internal service codes. These external codes can be changed and adapted to user requirements using a special service code or CADI GC (see below). Service Codes Available on Terminal (Standard/Initial Values)

Change Length of Service Codes

The length of the service codes can be switched between 4 digits (default setting, see figure below) and 3 digits using CADI GC in the menu 'Miconic10  Parameter  Terminals  Floor Terminal':

[6876; 12.11.2004]

Thus it may be required, depending on the individual installation, to skip a trailing 0 from the codes indicated in the table (for example entry of 066 instead of 0066 for normal travel).
