Following approval by the ASME B40 Committee and ASME, and after public review, ASME B40.1, ASME B40.2, and ASME B40.5 were approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) on December I , 2000; and ASME H40.6 was approved by ANSI on February 5 , 200 I . Addenda to the 1998 edition of' ASME 1340.100 are issued i n ihe forni of replriceinent pages. Revisions, additions, and deletions are incorporated directly into the affected pages. It is advisable, however, that this page, the Addenda title and copyright pages, and all replaced pages be retained for reference.
