The Pronoun
The pronoun is a flexible part of speech that take the place of a noun. The Pronoun can be:
Personal Pronouns Demonstrative Pronouns Relative Pronouns Possessive Pronouns Indefinite Pronouns Interrogative Pronouns
Personal Pronouns: A personal pronoun can refer to a person, an animal or an object. When discussing “person” in terms of the grammatical, the following rules apply:
First person, as in “I” / we =EU / NOI Second person, as in “you”=TU / VOI Third person, as in “It, he, she” / they =EL or EA/ EI or ELE
Personal pronouns provide us with the following information:
The person – Who is speaking? The number – Is the pronoun plural or singular? The gender – Is the pronoun feminine, masculine, or neuter?
Personal Pronouns as Subject Pronouns The pronoun is acting as the subject of the sentence. ( Ex: Eu/tu/el,ea, noi/voi/ei, ele). Personal Pronouns as Object Pronouns An objective personal pronoun indicates that the pronoun is acting as an object of a verb. Singular Form: MĂ/ M- ex: mă vezi (you see me), m-ai văzut (you saw me) TE / TE- : te văd, te-am văzut Îl / l- : îl văd, l-am văzut (pe el, masculin form) O / O- o văd, am văzut-o (pe ea, feminin form)
Plural Form: NE / NE- ne vezi, ne-ai văzut VĂ / V- vă văd, v-am văzut ÎI / I- îi văd, i-am văzut LE / LE- le văd, le-am văzut (for feminin)
