Believe it or not, the world is full of electricity. You learned in elementary school that elements like copper, lead and sodium are positively charged while oxides like NO2 and SO4 are negatively charged. The earth's resonance or wave frequency was named as the Schumann Resonance, after the man who identified these waves. This resonance was first calculated by Schumann in 1952 as a series of frequencies, of which the lowest in the group was reported to be about 10 Hz. These frequencies were later measured by the National Bureau of Standards at Boulder Colorado in the 1960's where the 7.8 Hz nominal figure was discovered along with the 5.9 Hz progressing overtones. Resonance may be defined as the frequency at which an object most naturally wants to vibrate. For example: In coherent systems, one object may set another object into motion if it shares the same resonant frequency. If, for example, you strike a tuning fork of 100 cycles per second and bring it near another tuning fork of that same frequency, the second tuning fork will be set in motion. Even though it has not been struck, the second fork will begin to vibrate and radiate a sound merely by being in the same nearby field as the vibrating tuning fork. Jet streams are winds in high altitude. The major jet streams on Earth are westerly winds; that is, flowing from west to east. They are caused by solar heating of the atmosphere and rotation of the planet. Ocean currents are yet another indication that plant earth is alive. Global ocean currents help to regulate the world’s climate and have important effects on marine life. The human body is designed to adapt to daily and seasonal climatic variations.
