Conclusion
Paladin Design Base 5- an Electrical Design software
The short circuit currents at various busbars are calculated based on the above assumptions. Calculated Short circuit currents are shown in the SLD. Selectivity of relays and circuit breakers were worked out based on the cable size and flow of short circuit currents. Time current characterstic curves are generated for every path and verified . Settings for each device,short circuit currents at every busbars,detailed calculations for the settings are given in the following pages. While doing this exercise certain discrepencies were noticed and these are brought out seperately under heading 'Comments and Observations'.

Observations and Comments: 1) The Single line diagram furnished by the customer has got many discrepencies with actuals at site,especially the CT details furnished in the drawing are not matching.The customer has to prepare as fitted drawing for their future reference. 2) The Second Turbo Generator 3 MW set has got CT ratio of 300/1.However it is noticed that the incomer in the 11 kV switch board from this Generator has got CT of 1250/1.We have given the settings assuming this CT will be matched with Generator CTs 3) There is one overall Differential Protection Relay, CTs from 15 MW Generator,HV side and LV side of Generator Transformer connected.This relay operation will be in order when only one Generator 15 MW is in operation.If the 3 MW set is in operation , this differential relay will pick up and trip the Breaker.Modification of the circuitary is required.
