Listening -What do you think success is? Do you consider yourself a successful person? Why? Why not? How would you measure success? (In terms of…)

I think that success is when you are able to take your goals and make them come true, it is the result of effort, discipline, perseverance. Success is something all want to reach because it brings happiness and personal satisfaction. I consider that success isn’t measured only by material things, I think success is when you keep a balance between economic stability and emotional stability, also I think a successful person is who lives doing something that loves and helps to turn the world into a better place. I don’t consider myself a successful person, because I have many goals still I haven’t achieved because I usually get frustrated and I give up, It’s something I hate myself and I am conscious this doesn’t allow to get my aims, so I have a new goal and it’s overcome this thing that blocks my dreams and being a more persistent person and more hardworking. BRAINSTORM Persistent, goals, aims, dreams, balance, stability, overcome, achieve, -Which of these people would you consider a clear example of a successful individual/ successful business person? Explain your answer Maradona Lio Messi

Bill Clinton

I believe these five people are successful because worked hard to achieve their goals and because take advantage of their bad experiences to grow like people, those failures served them to create new opportunities and became its weaknesses into strengths, inspiring and helping many people. For example, Bill Gates, in spite of his previous failed attempts, created Microsoft, and currently, it is a huge and important company that changed the technology world. Lio Messi, despite his disease, is a world-renowned football player, he is one of the best in the world and now he is an example of individual success, being a big model to admire for many children. Mother Teresa, instead, had a gift sent for god and she used that gift to help others. The pope is in charge to share god’s word and cultivating peace, nowadays this is a task very necessary. Bill Clinton was president of the United States and he got that post having some features like eloquence, patient, and capacity to convince.
