INTRODUCTION TO PHS | RA URU HU

Introduction to PHS PHS: The Study of Our body’s Consciousness Hello, I want to welcome all of you to the Primary Health System clinic. The Human Design System is an extraordinary thing. I've been involved now for nearly 20 years in the exploration and the implementation of the knowledge of Human Design. There are so many aspects of the knowledge that can be explored to the benefit of so many. Nothing has struck me deeper nor has struck a deeper chord than the knowledge and the potential implementation of the knowledge that has come from the study of the Primary Health System, which is the study of our Design consciousness, the study of our body’s consciousness. One of the fundamental truths of the Human Design System is that it is the body's life. And in order for the self-reflected consciousness, for the passenger who we think of as ourselves, to be liberated in this life, to be liberated in the sense of having a healthy body and be liberated in the way in which the consciousness operates, all of this depends on operating correctly physically. It's what in Human Design we call Strategy.

Experimenting with Your Strategy Like those wonderful medicine ads that you see on American television where they tell you all of the wonderful things that the drug can do for you, and then there's a man's voice speaking at a speed that is really incredible that runs off all the horrible things that can happen to you if you happen to take this drug, I want to explain something to you to be very clear. PHS and the recommendations that you will receive are really revolutionary in the impact that they can have on your body in your life. But there is a proviso, and it is a very significant and serious proviso. And that proviso is that you are experimenting with what is, in fact, your Strategy. Everything about this knowledge, and everything about what PHS brings to you is about your form.

Design Color: Determination of the Form If you look over here at this illustration, and you come over here, we're going to be talking about Color and Tone today. We're actually going to be talking about themes that exists below the Line, the Lines that you see in your chart. And we're going to talk specifically about Color, because Color is something that is deeply instrumental in the way in which we operate.

When we come to the Design side and we speak about Color, we're talking about something that we call Determination, the determination of the vehicle. And the determination of your body is a genetic predisposition to form differentiation. What that means very simply is that each and every one of us are born to be unique.

Strategy and Authority Leads to Uniqueness And I don't mean that as a kind of superficial cliche because it's not. And I don't mean that in the obvious that we seem to look relatively different from each other. I am talking about what Strategy and Authority in Human Design leads © J O VIA N A R CH I VE ME D IA

us to. It leads us to our uniqueness through our unique Authority, through being different. We are here to be only correct in being different and being different in the sense that we fulfill what our genetic predisposition is. If you want to see what that is in a chart, that's anything that you have activated. Everything about the activations in your design is that they are the foundation of what is genetically different about you. This is what we operate through; that is, what is fixed in us.

Openness Is a Receptor to Homogenization But we have a dilemma. And the dilemma is that there is so much openness in our designs, and it is that openness that is a receptor to the other, and to conditioning. It’s what pulls us away from our true nature. It pulls us towards homogenization, the opposite of differentiation. When you are homogenized, what that means is that you take in the diet that's part of your culture, that you eat in the environment that your culture dictates. The way in which you live your life is conditioned by the judgments and the conditioning that are made by others. Every human being in their openness, if they do not operate correctly, if they do not have a strategy, are pulled towards this homogenization, and it pulls you away from the body that is yours. We each have a unique form and we have a unique potential to live out that form.

Internal Determination Now, there's a third thing here called Internal Determination. It's what we're going to look at today because it is the focus of our work. Internal Determination is something that is deeply, deeply significant to any form that is alive. That is, it is about what we need to maintain our well-being, what we need to maintain our existence at its most fundamental level. At its most fundamental level, what that means for us as human beings is how we digest. Everything about PHS and the alignment to what is correct for you begins with digestion. Think about it. Think about the house cat. You see the house cat with the mouse, and we have this kind of funny morality that we

don't really feel good about it because it appears to us from our perspective and our projection that the cat is doing something willfully cruel. But it's not; it's following an ancient digestive program. The only way in which the stomach of that cat is going to be able to produce the exact chemistry necessary for that cat is that it has to be stimulated in that way. And only then is it prepared to digest what it takes in. It says a lot about the condition of domesticated cats; talk about homogenization.

Correct Digestion Needed for Cognition Now this is us, and this is what we're going to be looking at. We're going to be looking at this theme of digestion. Think about what it actually means. Everything about the way in which we're designed is that we're designed for cognition. That is, we are designed to become aware, to display intelligence, strategic thinking, survival of the species. So much of the energy of a human being goes to one place and one place only. It goes to feed this enormous brain that we have, and the energy demands of our brain. And not simply the neocortex and our self-reflected environment, but the whole brain, the whole process of brain, the energy necessary for the neural firing, and the pheromones, all of the goodies that the brain has to deliver moment by moment, second by second to maintain the form. So much of what we take into our bodies has to be delivered specifically to maintain that capacity. It is the brain and its functions that maintains everything else, the way in which the body is going to function, the way the organs are going to function, the way everything within the biochemistry of the vehicle is going to work. And all of it is dependent on being properly fueled. But you see, we are different. You know that old cliche about one man's meat is another man's poison? Well, it's true in a sense. You know that wonderful juiced up power drink that that person gets an enormous buzz from? It doesn't mean that it's going to do the same for you. It doesn't mean that your body is going to take from that sustenance, digest it and pull from it what you need. You may not get anything from that because your body truly doesn't need it. Digestion is really the key.

A Predisposition that Drives Differentiated Brain Function So, looking here at Internal Determination you see the line: A predisposition that drives differentiated brain function. Now, this is very important to grasp. What it means is that when you're digesting properly, not only are you properly nourishing your vehicle and your physical brain, but because you're taking in precisely the chemistry that is correct for you, you get the advantages for your differentiated brain function. In other words, for you to fulfill the potential of what you can be physically, which includes the potential of the brain and the potential of its neuro capacity. Did you know that by the time you're three years old, the growth of your brain's neural system shuts down? And there is an enormous, absolutely enormous, almost infinite amount of potential that we do not access in this life. That shutting down is one of the classic examples of what it means to live in a world that's not correct, where human beings are not given the knowledge that they have a right to in order to be able to take into their body what is correct for them to be able to fulfill what is their purpose.

The Design and the Personality When we look at the BodyGraph, we have two things that we deal with. And yet, we're really seeing them within the context of something else. There's this piece of information over here, which is triggered and imprinted at a specific time. And there is a separation of 88° of the sun, approximately 88 or 89 days between these calculations, which is a very different set of data. The Design

and the Personality are very different from each other, and they do not meet directly, but meet through the agency of the BodyGraph. What we are looking at when we are looking at this work is not the Personality, which is another field entirely; that is, Rave Psychology. What we look at is the nature of the Design. And what we look at specifically for the subject of today is the Sun and the Earth.

The Sun/Earth When you think about the Sun/Earth—this is an illustration of what is called an Incarnation Cross in Human Design. An Incarnation Cross is made up of the combination of your Personality Sun/Earth and your Design Sun/Earth and is the bedrock upon which the life is built. It’s the embodiment, in that sense, of your purpose.

But there is also a very logical aspect to its importance, which is that the sun represents 70% of the neutrino information, the programming information

that we receive on a moment by moment basis. And when we take the Sun and Earth as a polarity together, this is the input and the imprint of 70% of what we are.

Design Sun/Earth: Internal When we're looking at the Sun/Earth on the Design side, we are looking at the theme that we call internal. In other words, we're looking at the theme of the potential predisposition to be able to operate correctly physically in terms of the way in which you take sustenance into your body. We're looking at what

INTRODUCTION TO PHS | RA URU HU

we would call the unconscious side, the vehicle side, and we're looking at what is necessary for the vehicle to take in, not what's necessary for the Personality or the mind to take in, but what's absolutely essential for the vehicle to take in. In this illustration, we have stayed with the image of the Design. And you can see here that we have the Sun in the 36th Gate and the Earth in the 6th Gate. This is a polarity. They're exactly opposite each other, which means that their configuration, their Line, Color, Tone, Base configuration is going to be exactly the same. Here is the 36th Gate in the emotional system pointed upwards towards the Throat.

The Nature of the Design Consciousness If you look over here on this side, this is the data plate. This is the data for the Sun in the 36.3. What you can see is that there is the Gate, the 36th Gate, and the 3rd Line, and then we go below the Line. When we go below the Line, we go into the purest realm of the Design. That is, we go into the nature of the Design consciousness itself. Here we have Color, what we have referred to as Determination, and below the Color, we have Tone. Now below that there is something else that is Base. It is not my purpose tonight to teach you all of this, but I want you to understand where the information comes from.

The Six Colors Tone and Color have a very special relationship to each other. It is Color that is going to determine specifically what is correct for you. Yet every Color is a binary, is a duality. What the Tone underneath does is that it fixes the binary. So when we go over and we look, and this will be the language that we're going to deal with today, if we look here in this chart, what you're seeing are the six Colors, number 1, 2 and 3. You can see that they start from the bottom going up, and they are referred to as lower Colors. And then numbers 4, 5, and 6, and they are referred to as upper Colors.

Tone Fixes the Color Now this difference between lower and upper you will discover is something that is very significant. But the first thing I want you to grasp about Color is what I just referred to. That is, you can see that each of these themes—let's say that you're a 1st Color person. In other words, your Design Sun’s Line underneath is the 1st Color. If you're a 1st Color, you're going to be one of two things, either the Consecutive or the Alternating. But there is no selection in the Color itself, there is simply the generic. Which Tone underneath will, in essence, make the decision whether you're going to be fixed to one side or to the other. So, in your specific calculation we're going to be looking at your Color to see what the binary is, and then we're going to look at the Tone to see which end of the binary, which side of the binary you are fixed to.

The Difference between the Upper and Lower Colors

INTRODUCTION TO PHS | RA URU HU

The next thing to grasp is the difference between lower and upper. Now, if you follow this track of the 1 up to the 6, in a way you're following the evolution of our digestive system. And that is something that is very helpful to keep in mind. It's particularly true for the lower because you'll see in dealing with the lower Color, we are dealing with specifics of the way in which we eat or the quality or preparation of what we eat. It is very specific, and it is rooted in our most primitive digestive system. In fact, with the 1st and 2nd Color, you can think about them as precooking in a sense. In other words, it will give you an insight into what is much healthier for them in terms of what’s better to take in, as an example, raw foods than prepared foods. But overall, I just want you to have this sense that when you're dealing with the lower, you're going to see we're dealing with something that is very specific, very targeted. And it's very targeted because you're dealing with the limitation of the digestive system. The moment that we move to the upper Color, to the 4, 5, and the 6, we enter into something that is called circumstance. In other words, it's not about the food at all. It is about the environment when the food is being taken in, and it is something very different. The theme of diets, as an example, are all rooted out of the impact of lower Color. When you go to upper Color, you have this ability, in a sense, to be able to eat any anything; however, the circumstance has to be correct. Because if the circumstance is incorrect, you are not going to be able to digest correctly.

Each Color Is a Binary Fixed by the Tone So, two things to keep in mind: Each Color is a binary, and it gets fixed by the Tone. And when I say it gets fixed, it's rigidly fixed. In other words, this fixing is so important to understand. This is your track to a differentiated and healthy body. So when we're looking at each Color, we see that they're a binary, a duality, and that they can be fixed by the Tone underneath. And when we're looking at the difference between Colors, there is a difference between the lower Colors, where you're going to see the PHS regimen is very strict, very specific, and the upper Color where the food regimen is not the subject, but the environment is very much the subject.

Tone

This is an illustration of Tones. Tone is something that is at the very basis of health knowledge because it's at the tonal level that the actual architecture,

the design of what the body can be, is where that architecture exists. And that you can see that Tones are binaries themselves: 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th. You can also see that there is a basic division between them, between left Tones and right Tones. What we're going to see is that left Tones fix the left side of the Color binary, and right Tones fixed the right side. And in that way, we can see how the Tones are going to impact on the Color.

A Transforming Experiment For all of you, particularly those of you that are lower Color, I want you do grasp that to enter into this experiment is really worth the journey. You have to deal with the lot, not just the oddity of the process for you in terms of the way you can appear to others and the way you have to deal with food on the social level, because we all deal with food at the social level in this life. But this is an experiment and a worthy one. It's a worthy one, because it is incredibly transforming. I just want all of you to grasp what, in essence, the reward is in all of this. Yes, it will do wonders for your body. It's what it's supposed to do. We're supposed to have the body that's correct for us. We're not supposed to have a body that is incorrect. We're not supposed to have a body that looks and takes in and processes the way other bodies do. When your body is correct, it means that you benefit more fully from its potential. Its potential is to provide you with well-being and energy, provide you with a functional brain that is able to provide the chemical information, the data, and to store the information, and all the things that are necessary that ultimately you as a Personality, you as a passenger in this vehicle, can benefit.

Experiment with Your Strategy and Authority This is a holistic process. You need to experiment with your Strategy and Authority. It is the great key in all this knowledge. I repeat it over and over again at every level, to everyone that I teach, to everyone that I meet, newcomer and 15 year veterans alike. It's all about Strategy and Authority.

INTRODUCTION TO PHS | RA URU HU

If you're following your Strategy and Authority, you're already liberating your mind because it doesn't have to be absorbed in those decisions that belong to your vehicle. And if you experiment with your PHS, you will fine-tune your vehicle quickly to align it to what your potential is and ultimately the potential of your Personality to be awake, to be aware, to know how to live seeing and watching.
