Activate Schema: T gives Ss question to think about and answer with partner. Are you a good or bad cook? Why?

Markers/Board

Introduce Vocabulary: T shows pictures to Ss and elicits words from students. Ss names words in picture. T helps students pronounce all words correctly.

Vocabulary Pictures

Activity #1: Word Definition Match T breaks Ss into small groups of 3 or 4. T gives Ss 2 sets of paper. One set with definition and the other with word. Ss will work in group to match definition and word.

Word/Definition Strips

Activity #2: Fill in the blank T puts Ss into groups of 2. T will introduce handout. T instructs Ss to use vocabulary words above to answer questions below. Ss work on handout in groups.

Activity#3: True/ False T puts Ss into different groups of 2. T introduces worksheet. T instructs student to complete true of false. Ss work on handout in new group. T will call on Ss to share answers.
