Mexican gnome Pedro

Designed by Nazeli

Crochet Patterns by PamPino

Dear crochet lover, First of all, thank you so much for wanting to make this Mexican gnome Pedro, I hope that you will enjoy recreating him as much as I loved designing him for you! I am more than happy for you to gift or sell any items made from this pattern but would love if you could provide a link to my Etsy shop “Pampinostore” and credit @Pampino_HM on instagram as the designer. Much love, time and effort have gone into designing this amigurumi pattern for you and would appreciate if you do not share, reproduce or sell this pattern either in its entirety or in parts. I always love seeing your finished creation, so please do use the hashtag #pampinostore and #Pampino_HM on Instagram! Never hesitate to contact me through my Etsy shop should you have any questions with regards to the pattern and I will do all I can to help you as best as I can! Keep creating cuteness with stitches! With love, Nazeli

PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS: This pattern is written using American terminology and is worked in continuous rounds unless otherwise stated. If gnome is made using the materials described, he will be 27cm tall from the top to the base of body. SKILL LEVEL: Easy Materials. 1. Basic Yarns –Alize cotton gold, 100g/ 330m, (55% cotton, 45%acrylic) or Yarn Art Jeans- bright brown, orange yellow, milk white, red, dark and bright green, beige. 2. Yarn for beard- any acrylic 100% white yarn 3. Crochet hook 2.5 mm 4. Fibrefill / toy stuffing 5. Stitch markers, darning needles 6. cartboard for body 7. Pet brush

ABBREVATIONS: ch = chain | dc = double crochet | dc-inc = double crochet increase | dec = decrease | hdc = half double crochet | hdc-inc = half double crochet increase | inc = increase | rnd = round | sc = single crochet | sk = skip | sl = slip stitch | st = stitch A VERY QUICK GUIDE TO THE CROCHET STITCHES USED IN THIS PATTERN: 1. Chain (ch): Insert hook, yarn over, pull loop through loop on hook. 2. Double crochet (dc): Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull loop through stitch (there should be 3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull loop through both loops left on hook (there should be 2 loops left on hook), yarn over, pull loop through remaining loop on hook.

3. Double crochet increase (dc-inc): Work two double crochets into the same stitch. 4. Decrease (dec): I prefer to use the “invisible” decrease. For this, insert hook into front loop of first stitch (from the front and under). Repeat into front loop of next stitch. Yarn over, pull loop through 2 loops on hook, yarn over and pull loop through final 2 loops on hook. 5. Half double crochet (hdc): Yarn over, insert hook, yarn over, pull loop through stitch (there should be 3 loops on hook), yarn over, pull loop through all three loops on the hook. 6. Half double crochet increase (hdc-inc): Work two half double crochets into the same stitch. 7. Increase (inc): Work two single crochets into the same stitch. 8. Skip (sk): Skip the next stitch, or the number of stitches specificed in the pattern. 9. Magic ring: Wrap yarn around fingers to form a loop. Insert hook through middle of loop. Pull working end of yarn through ring and chain the required number of stitches through. Pull the yarn ends to close the loop. 10. Single crochet (sc): Insert hook, yarn over, pull loop through stitch (there should be 2 loops on hook), yarn over, pull loop through both loops on hook. 11. Slip stitch (sl): Insert hook, yarn over, pull loop through stitch and loop on hook. 12. Crab Stitch: The crab stitch is created just like a single crochet, except you work the stitch to the right of your hook instead of the stitch to the left. Essentially you are working backwards on your row. You will start the row by chaining one and then insert the hook into the stitch to the right, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through both loops on the hook. It may take several stitches before you can truly see what the stitch looks like and how cool it is. Or do this stitch like on my video- it is very easy way, link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTfND14r6Q4&t=19s

Crochet Patterns by PamPino With milk yarn decorate red part of hat like on photo/ and with red yarn the milk part

Dont stuff the hat, sew it on body. Your gnome is ready :) Poncho For this poncho, we will be working in rows all on one side (without turning) so that the right side of the stitches are all on the same side. We will be attaching a new colour yarn to the first stitch of each row, and we’ll rejoin in the first stitch when working the same colour again. Allow approximately 2” for your starting and ending tails, these will be trimmed and used as a fringe. Every row I start to crochet from back loops.

I have used a mix of vibrant colours, Red, yellow, dark and bright Green, milk. You can substitute the colours as you like. Using Red yarn, chain 36, cut yarn and fasten off. R1. Join Yellow yarn with a sc into the back loop of the first chain, work sc in each remaining back loops, cut yarn and fasten off (36 sc)
