The Concerto for Trumpet and String Orchestra by Robert Planel

Completed on 26th January 1955 and premièred by Raymond Tournesac in Vichy on 5th September 1956, conducted by Louis de Froment. Also this piece nowadays one of the composer’s best- known works. And the work has the classical threemovement form, fast-slow-fast.

Incantation, Threnody and Dance, composed in 1953, was Raymond Tournesac who gave the triptych its first performance, again in Vichy with the conductor Louis de Froment As with Jolivet’s Second Concerto. This piece is in fact a trumpet concerto in classical fast-slow-fast form

Composed in 1966, is dedicated to the great French trumpeter Maurice André, who gave its first performance at the Salle Gaveau in Paris with the Fernand Oubradous orchestra. The work is in classical three-movement form, fast-slow-fast
